Back Seeking A Tropical Cruisemate

I like to help my readers dream. Here is a dream for you to ponder: how would you like to go on a tropical cruise?

I am planning such a cruise in the not too distant future. It would be nice to share my adventures with a regular member of what I call the world's greatest gambling website.

While I have my reasons for wanting to take a tropical cruise (and I will share them with you shortly), I am sure your reasons are vastly different from mine.

Tell me why you would like to make the cruise and what you feel you would achieve from it.

I haven't yet decided which island will get my business on the cruise. All islands are different and I am sure I'll do a lot of photo searching, praying and thinking before I decide on an island.

My island background has been pretty rich. I have made three flights to Hawaii, spent a week exploring Aruba, have visited Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Antigua, St. Maarten, Grand Cayman, Isle de Saints, Dominica, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Anguilla.

Oh, yes, I shared the magic herb with my reggae musician friend Bankie Bankx. I panned for gold and played poker and blackjack in Aruba. I played in a poker tournament in Costa Rica and while under the influence of rum dressed as Zorro with a black mask and cape.

I will not only consider your letters, I will print the best of them in this column. You can share your dreams of paradise with our readers (Embellish a bit. It won't hurt your image, I assure you).

I have gone shark fishing and fished for dolphin, sailfish, grouper and other denizens of the deep off of windjamming sailing ships and piers. I caught a four and a half foot hammerhead shark from a pier in Naples and was almost pulled overboard by a shark in rocky Point, Mexico.

Tell me which island you want to visit and I'll see what is available. I will cover your passage on the vessel, but you will be responsible for your own expenses. All letters become the property of this website.

So let those letters flow in. Dominica has been nicknamed the Little Tahiti of the Caribbean, while Hawaii was called the Rainbow Islands by none other than Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain.

There will be only one judge in this letter writing contest...

...and he is I! Let me warn you that I am a sucker for anything tropical and if you misspell a word or two, so be it.

Just one warning: i get messy when it comes to mangoes, so if you are a neatness freak, you may reconsider writing a letter. You can either send your letters to this website, or send them to glawrenzi@gmail.com. I'll be waiting for your letters.
