Back BETER Gains Illinois Approval for Setka Cup Content

BETER has secured regulatory approval to introduce its Setka Cup table tennis product in Illinois, adding another US jurisdiction to the company's growing network of approved markets.

The authorization came from the Illinois Gaming Board, the agency responsible for regulating casino gambling, sports wagering and video gaming across the state. The decision allows licensed operators in Illinois to access BETER's exclusive Setka Cup offering, including live streams and real-time data feeds.

Illinois becomes the eighth US state where the company's proprietary content is available. The latest addition follows launches in Florida, New Jersey, Colorado, Arizona, Indiana, Iowa and North Carolina, further expanding BETER's presence in the American sports betting sector.

Local bettors already have access to the content through bet365, one of BETER's established operator partners. Additional operator integrations are planned in the near future.

Setka Cup Expands Into Another State

The approval opens the door for Illinois operators to offer a product centered on fast-paced table tennis events. Setka Cup forms part of BETER's broader sports portfolio and joins a content lineup designed to support around-the-clock wagering opportunities.

Across its operations, BETER delivers more than 700,000 esports and sports events annually. The company provides live streams, live data and betting odds for each event, with up to 50 available markets. According to BETER, operators achieve an average margin exceeding 7.5% through its content offering.

Beyond Setka Cup, the company's sports portfolio also includes the BSKT Cup basketball competition. Its esports division features ESportsBattle tournaments covering eFootball, eBasketball, eHockey and eTennis.

Executives Highlight Growth Plans

Gal Ehrlich, CEO of BETER, said: “Entering Illinois is another significant step in our US expansion and reinforces BETER’s position as a leading provider of fast-betting content in the world’s most exciting sports wagering market.

“Demand for high-velocity, 24/7 content continues to accelerate across the US, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of that shift. With eight states now under our belt, we have clear momentum and a long-term vision that goes well beyond individual state launches.”

Valeriia Tarchynska, Chief Legal Officer at BETER, added: “Securing approval from the Illinois Gaming Board is a testament to the rigorous regulatory work our team undertakes in every jurisdiction we enter. Each US state has its own framework and requirements, and our commitment to full alignment with those standards is non-negotiable.

“The US remains a strategically vital market for BETER, and we continue to work actively to secure approvals in additional key states. We are building real scale in this market, with much more to come.”

Integrity Measures Remain Central

BETER said its Integrity team supports all exclusive content through continuous monitoring and cooperation with organizations including IBIA, ESIC and sports federations to maintain fair play standards.

The Illinois approval comes ahead of BETER's first appearance as an exhibitor at SBC Summit Americas, where it will showcase its products from June 9–11 at Stand 813.
