EveryMatrix has obtained conditional licensing approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC), allowing the company to supply iGaming technology in Alberta as the province prepares to open its regulated online gambling market later this year.
The approval permits EveryMatrix to provide casino and sportsbook platform technology to licensed operators in Alberta, which is expected to become Canada’s second regulated iGaming market after Ontario. Provincial authorities are targeting a July launch for the new framework, creating opportunities for operators seeking entry into the jurisdiction.
EveryMatrix plans to introduce content from Fantasma Games, its in-house game development studio, when the Alberta market opens. The company will also distribute additional aggregated gaming content as part of its local offering. The supplier indicated that additional portfolio expansion opportunities could follow as the regulated market develops and operator demand increases after launch.
The development adds to EveryMatrix’s expansion efforts across North America, where the company already operates under licences in several jurisdictions. Alongside Ontario, where it has held approval since 2022, the company is licensed in New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
Alberta Seen as Strong Opportunity for Operators
Industry attention has increasingly turned toward Alberta because of its economic profile and digitally active population. The province has around five million residents and ranks among the stronger regions in North America for GDP per capita, factors viewed as supportive of long-term iGaming growth.
EveryMatrix stated that it has already arranged commercial agreements in Alberta covering both its gaming platform services and proprietary gaming content. Those agreements position the company to begin operations shortly after the province’s regulated market officially launches.
The approval also reinforces EveryMatrix’s position as a major B2B technology supplier in the North American regulated gaming sector. The company has steadily increased its presence in the region through licensing approvals and partnerships with operators across multiple states and provinces. Alberta’s upcoming framework is expected to attract further interest from suppliers aiming to expand regulated operations in Canada.
Company Highlights Regulatory Readiness
Rani Axon, Market Manager, North America, EveryMatrix, commented on the approval and the company’s expansion strategy in the region.
“Entering Alberta marks an exciting step for the Group as we expand further into one of North America’s most attractive regulated markets. This approval shows the strength of our compliance team and our readiness to meet regulatory requirements in any market.”
The Alberta market launch is expected to introduce a new competitive environment for licensed operators and suppliers seeking growth opportunities in Canada. Companies entering the province will operate under a newly established regulatory structure overseen by the AGLC.
EveryMatrix has continued to build its footprint through technology offerings that include casino platforms, sports betting solutions, and gaming content. The company’s latest approval gives it another entry point into a regulated jurisdiction at a time when online gaming expansion continues across parts of North America.

Alberta is quickly becoming a key market to watch. EveryMatrix getting in early makes sense, but once the market opens the real competition will be around partnerships and product quality, not just licences.

EveryMatrix is making a significant move. The launch of a regulated market in Alberta could create serious competition and attract more technology providers. It will be interesting to see how quickly operators enter the market once the framework is implemented.
