Evolution has officially launched its innovative live game show, Red Door Roulette, in the United States, beginning with New Jersey and Delaware. This marks the first American release of the game, which initially rolled out to global markets in 2023. Designed as a fusion of two of Evolution’s most successful titles—Lightning Roulette and Crazy Time —Red Door Roulette brings a fresh take on live dealer entertainment to the US iGaming space.
The game opens with a slot-based round where players can unlock up to 15 bonus numbers by collecting keys. If successful, they gain access to the high-energy Crazy Time bonus round, featuring a 64-segment wheel filled with guaranteed multiplier rewards. The title mixes roulette betting with game-show mechanics to create a dynamic and highly engaging experience.
According to Jacob Claesson, CEO of Evolution North America, “We are incredibly excited to officially launch Red Door Roulette in the US. Our game shows are an excellent introduction for new players to live dealer gaming, and following the game’s success internationally, we look forward to seeing how players in New Jersey and Delaware embrace this unique game. This is just the first phase of our tremendous live game roadmap for 2025, with a wide variety of new games coming soon to all regulated states.”
How the Game Works
Gameplay in Red Door Roulette starts with players placing bets on a roulette-style grid. Between three and fifteen bonus numbers can be triggered during each round. If a player bets on a bonus number that hits, they enter the bonus stage—the iconic Crazy Time wheel. Here, the action ramps up with multipliers applied to segments of the wheel, potentially boosted by up to 20x through the game’s random multiplier system.
Should a multiplier be attached to a bonus number during the initial round, that multiplier is applied to every multiplier value on the Crazy Time wheel, significantly enhancing the win potential. These elements make the game both fast-paced and rich with reward opportunities, combining chance, strategy, and spectacle.
A Strategic Expansion into the US Market
The debut of Red Door Roulette reflects Evolution’s ongoing focus on strengthening its live casino offerings across regulated North American territories. This move comes as part of the company’s broader 2025 strategy, which includes a lineup of upcoming game launches aimed at maintaining Evolution’s leadership in the live gaming segment.
Earlier this year, the company reported Q1 revenues of €520.9 million ($592.1 million), up 3.9% from the previous year, with live games accounting for €448.7 million. Despite a 5.4% dip in profit and a slight drop in EBITDA, Evolution remains optimistic about the second half of 2025, fueled by a strong content roadmap and expanding US market activity.
As Red Door Roulette rolls out across additional states in the coming months, it further establishes the importance of game shows and live dealer formats in attracting new audiences. With past hits like Dream Catcher, Football Studio, and Lightning Roulette, Evolution continues to shape the future of online casino entertainment.
