Evolution’s Lightning Roulette Voted GOTY At EGR

Evolution Gaming’s Lightning Roulette has been named Game of the Year at the EGR Operator Awards 2018. The prestigious award was handed to company representatives on Thursday, Oct. 25th, at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Nervous Yet Triumphant

Lightning Roulette, an extended online Live Roulette game that enjoys unrivalled popularity at the moment, was voted the best among ten other shortlisted products, according to the official announcement.

The reward is indeed noteworthy, as the conference recognizes the game studio to have developed the stand-alone game making the biggest annual impact. The Game of the Year category winner was voted by operators who were shortlisted for one of the Operator Awards, with the process being officiated by Deloitte.

The recognition comes merely two weeks after Lightning Roulette had won the Product Innovation of the Year at G2E 2018, beating nine other shortlisted competitors.

The “absolute honor”, as Haushalter put it at the time, came in as a full recognition of the company’s efforts to always “create games that players will love, and that is always the core motivation.” He also added:

“It is particularly special when our peers in the gaming industry judge that we have created the year’s best product innovation. Last year we won Digital Product of the Year with our Dream Catcher money wheel.
