Back Ex-ComeOn Boss Lahcene Merzoug Appointed Betpoint Group CEO

Gaming industry veteran, investor and former CEO of ComeOn, Lahcene Merzoug, has been appointed a Chief Executive Officer of Betpoint Group.

His appointment is a vital part of Betpoint’s growth strategy as the company continues to gather momentum.

A Powerful Proposition

Merzoug has spent two years as ComeOn Group’s chief executive before this new step in his career. Before that, he was Chief Marketing Officer at Green Media, which is Mr Green’s internal media agency.

He also held prominent roles at Evoke Gaming, Bonnier Gaming and Red Bet, and he brought a plenty of valuable industry experience and expertise to Betpoint Group.

Merzoug will be headquartered at Betpoint’s Malta office. His responsibilities will lay within overseeing company’s expansion plans that will see it expand its key brands into new markets, such as Justspin, 21.com NitroCasino, Ultra Casino and NeonVegas.

Identifying possible merger options and acquisition targets will also fall within his scope of responsibilities. The company’s solid financial background will allow it to continue to develop company’s culture to attract the best talent in the online gaming industry.

Says Merzoug of his appointment:

“I am delighted to be joining such an ambitious and driven organisation. We have an incredible team of people that form the Betpoint Group and together we make for a powerful proposition. We are at the very beginning of an extraordinary growth trajectory and we can’t wait to share our expansion plans with the industry, but until then, watch this space.”

The Last ComeOn Deal

In September last year, Merzoug was in charge of clinching a 1x2 Network content deal for his then company, ComeOn.

The latter’s subsidiaries, 1x2gaming and Iron Dog Studio, have agreed to provide content to their new partner.

Megaways slot titles like Jack and Battle Maidens have gone live on ComeOn’s brands like Cherry Casino, SunMaker and SunnyPlayer.

At the time, Head of ComeOn Group, Olsen, said that “here at ComeOn Group, we are excited to be working closely with 1X2 Network as our newest partner! It feels great to be able to widen our game portfolio and continue to offer great games to our customers."
