Fish Tales Slot Lands SiGMA Europe Award Nod

Booming Games has received industry recognition for Fish Tales Colossal Catch: Link & Loot after the slot secured a place on the shortlist for Best Game Design 2026 at the SiGMA World Awards Europe.

The nomination highlights the latest entry in the company’s Fish Tales series, which recently launched with a new Link & Loot mechanic, tropical-themed visuals and jackpot-style prize features. The studio announced the nomination through a social media post celebrating the project and the development team behind it.

Booming Games linked the nomination to the creative direction and gameplay design behind the release. “This nomination celebrates the creativity, passion, and innovation our team brings into every detail of the experience — from concept and visuals to gameplay and features.”

The game forms part of Booming Games’ broader Fish Tales lineup, following earlier releases including Fish Tales Monster Bass and Fish Tales Halloween. The newest title combines a fishing theme with a Link & Loot feature that rewards players for collecting fish symbols carrying attached prize values.

New Mechanics Shape Latest Fish Tales Release

Fish Tales Colossal Catch: Link & Loot uses a 5x3 reel format with 10 paylines and offers potential payouts reaching 10,000x the original bet. The game features medium-to-high volatility and carries a reported RTP of 96%.

The main gameplay mechanic activates when six or more fish symbols land during the base game. That combination triggers the Link & Loot feature, awarding five spins where only fish symbols and blank spaces appear on the reels.

As players collect fish symbols, a barrel meter above the reels fills and can unlock larger rewards. The slot also includes Colossal Fish symbols tied to Mini, Minor, Major and Grand prizes.

According to Booming Games, the release aimed to expand the existing Fish Tales formula through additional feature mechanics and upgraded presentation elements.

Slot Includes Additional Bonus Features

The game also contains free spins, bonus-buy options and expanding symbol mechanics. Three scatter symbols award eight free spins, while additional scatters provide extra cash prizes.

Players can purchase direct access to bonus rounds through optional Feature Buy settings. The title also includes a Boost+ option that increases the chances of activating Free Spins or the Link & Loot feature.
