Ontario players have gained a new payment option for online betting and gaming following the launch of Game On gift cards by Blackhawk Network (BHN). The rollout marks the Canadian debut of the multi-brand betting gift card and provides a dedicated funding solution for licensed online sportsbooks and casino platforms operating in the province.
Announced on June 16, 2026, the launch extends a product that first entered the United States in December 2020. BHN said the Ontario introduction represents the first stage of a broader regional strategy as the company examines opportunities in other Canadian provinces.
The cards are available both in stores and online. Customers can purchase them in amounts ranging from CA$20 to CA$250 and use the balance across multiple participating operators. The cards do not expire and carry no post-purchase usage fees.
Funding Multiple Gaming Accounts
Game On allows players to fund accounts with more than one participating operator using a single gift card product. After activation, customers can enter card details on approved partner sites to deposit funds.
The cards are currently accepted by BetMGM, BetRivers and FanDuel. Peoples Trust Company issues the cards, which function exclusively as an Ontario-specific funding method and can only be used with licensed operators.
Consumers can purchase the cards through retail locations or online, including the dedicated Game On website.
Product Targets Convenience and Control
BHN said the cards offer a secure and compliant payment option while supporting responsible gambling practices. Players can preload a set amount and use it across different gaming accounts.
Kate Sullivan, Vice President, Global Consumer Products at BHN, said: "Game On represents the evolution of how consumers engage with online gaming. We've pioneered a solution that makes it easy to give or use value responsibly. For players, it's a secure and streamlined way to load funds across their favorite platforms. For retailers and operators, it represents an opportunity to meet customers where they already shop—turning everyday retail touchpoints into gaming entry points, especially during key gifting moments like the holidays.
Previously, a US program involving four retailers that ran reward-based promotions on Game On gift cards experienced a 181% card sales increase, representing significant incremental revenue and opportunities for future customer engagement*. We anticipate Game On cards sold in Ontario may also offer incredible growth potential.”
Expansion Plans in Canada
BHN cited growth in Ontario’s regulated gaming sector as part of the rationale for the launch. According to figures referenced by the company, regulated online sportsbooks in Ontario generated a record CA$102 million in sports betting revenue in November 2025, up 29% year over year from more than CA$1.25 billion in wagers.
The company is exploring expansion of the Get Your Game On™ cards into other Canadian provinces during 2026 as regulations continue to develop.

Having one gift card that works across multiple operators makes funding accounts much more straightforward, and it will be interesting to see whether other provinces follow suit.
