Games Global is putting established franchises at the centre of its September content schedule, with four sequel titles introducing revised bonus mechanics, additional features and new ways to interact with familiar game concepts.
The 20-game rollout includes Riptide Pirates 3: Cannons Hot!, Cash Flip Medusa Gold, Chicago Gold 2 LOCKNWINX and Dragons of Arcane Wild II. The releases come from Nailed It! Games, Snowborn Games, PearFiction Studios and Foxium respectively, with each developer extending an existing series through changes to its gameplay features.
Riptide Pirates Returns With Expanded Bonus Play
Riptide Pirates 3: Cannons Hot! from Nailed It! Games leads the September releases as the third annual entry in the pirate-themed series. Its bonus round retains familiar elements while adding three modifiers.
A Jackpot or Chest Cannon guarantees a hit on the corresponding jackpot ship or treasure chest. The Quad Cannon also increases the cannonball count from three to four.
The game retains multipliers, continuous prize boosters and cluster bombs, with cash prizes and jackpots reaching up to 5,000x. Bonus Recharge gives players an opportunity to extend their session.
Snowborn Games takes a different approach with Cash Flip Medusa Gold, which combines its Medusa intellectual property with the Cash Flip series. The sequel gives the game a visual update centred on the snake-haired gorgon and doubles the number of bonus modifiers.
The returning Multiplier, Collector and Cash Flip modifiers are joined by Sticky Booster, which raises prize values. Double Reels runs two separate bonuses on different grids, while Extra Spins increases the respin counter to four. Players can use up to six modifiers together.
Three More Sequels Reshape Familiar Mechanics
PearFiction Studios' Chicago Gold 2 LOCKNWINX develops the LocknWin concept by adding three locked rows. Players can reveal those rows by collecting keys.
Character-based features form a major part of the Chicago-themed series. Eight collect features connect to different characters, including Multi Collect, which can increase prizes by up to 10x; Path Collect, which raises cash values along a selected path; and Maxi Collect, which boosts cash symbols already present across the grid.
Dragons of Arcane Wild II by Foxium also expands its bonus area. Landing a green, blue or red wisp can trigger the feature, while coloured drops can strengthen it. Keys unlock two additional rows.
The fantasy sequel includes multipliers, extra spins and prize duplicators. Its base game can also produce four cash collectors at once, compared with two in the previous title.
These four sequels sit within Games Global's wider 20-game September schedule, which also features releases from Gameburger Studios, Stormcraft Studios and Slingshot Studios.
David Reynolds, director of games strategy and partner management at Games Global, said: “September’s releases span some of Games Global’s most popular series, bringing fresh experiences to familiar worlds through carefully considered gameplay and feature evolution. These titles, alongside our myriad of standout hits, are sure to deliver!”

Having four sequels drop in one month feels like they're really banking on nostalgia, just adding more stuff to what already works instead of bringing anything new to the table.

A nice mix of familiar titles with some meaningful gameplay updates. The expanded bonus features in particular sound worth checking out.

The four cash collectors in Dragons of Arcane Wild II caught my eye. Going from two to four could get pretty crazy if they all land at once.
