Gaming Innovation Group Presents Fourth In-House Produced Slot Game – Popstar!

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), which is mostly known for their services as a gaming aggregator and platform provider, has announced the release of an in-house developed game – their fourth in total!

Titled Popstar, it's a 5x4 reel video slot produced for both desktop computers and mobile devices. Inspired by the endless streak of amateur singer competition TV shows, it follows a storyline of an aspiring singer which enters one of these shows...

...and features fittingly stunning sounds and visuals!

Studio's First Collaborative Effort

Popstar also has an unprecedentedly exciting game progress that culminates with a bonus spins mode.

Speaking about the game and how exciting it is to release it following the first three offerings, GiG Games’ division managing director, Mathias Larsson, comments:

“This game is a collaboration between GiG Games and the Swedish music artist Erik Segerstedt. Erik has produced all the sound and special effects for the game. Erik is also releasing an album, two songs which are also featured in the game.”

In the words of Kevin Corti, who is head of product at GiG, the company believes that, for any slot, a critical success factor is in its gameplay and theme being “perfectly aligned.”

Popstar, he argues, made this a reality by putting a player at the center of it all, as he/she helps a wannabe pop star to achieve stardom and realize their dreams - “while at the same time potentially winning big.”

Following Fruit Slot

This release comes only a little over a month since GiG's previous, third game - Fruit Slot - made its debut.

A unique take on a slot vertical, this game adds a fine measure of roulette to it. The game features a bright and vibrant Asian arcade and an RTP rate of 96.85%.

At the time, Larsson spoke of the release: “Following the success of our first two games we are now releasing a very unique game called Fruit Slot™. We believe that a strong casino game portfolio has to consist of some innovative content and this game for sure lives up to that philosophy.”

Stock Market Times

Malta-based, GiG, also began trading shares on Stockholm's Nasdaq exchange on Tuesday, March 26th .

CEO of the company remarked that this opportunity is the one to be taken most of since the firm has numerous stockholders in Sweden. At the beginning of the year, when the Swedish market was re-launched, Gaming Innovation Group began operating with several white label and in-house brands.

Their agreement with financial advisor, ABG Sundal Collier ASA, will result in ABG providing them with shares on Nasdaq Stockholm with a spread of 4% between the bid and the offer price.
