London-listed games developer, Gaming Realms, decided to conquer some new realms to enlarge the base of its players. The realms in question are the UK and New Jersey markets, and the expansion was made possible thanks to a duet of strategic deals, with Sky Betting & Gaming and DraftKings.
Both agreements are inked for a three-year period, and as a result, both companies will gain the opportunity to distribute the studio’s top-performing releases. This launch comes as a result of an existing collaboration between GR and SG Digital.
Increasing Global Footprint
Sky Betting & Gaming’s Sky Vegas site will welcome GR’s colorful collection of releases, including its Rainbow Riches range.
Michael Buckley, interim chief executive and non-executive chairman of Gaming Realms said:
"Our expanding portfolio of Slingo games continues to grow in popularity and these partnerships are a testament to the quality of the content that we at Gaming Realms produce. It is thanks to leading operators such as SBG and DraftKings that we are increasing our global footprint and reaching ever greater numbers of customers.”
As already mentioned…
…these strategic alignments were the result of last year’s deal with SG Digital System, under which developer’s Slingo games will be delivered to 200 operators.
Buckley added:
“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with such esteemed operators in the industry and look forward to working closely with the teams at both SBG and DraftKings to deliver exciting and unique content to all their users over the coming months. These agreements help to underpin the Board's confidence in the year ahead."
Shifts in Management
After Patrick Southon stepped down from the position, Buckley took over as GR’s chief executive on an interim basis last month. Southon had been on duty since co-founding, but left the business to pursue a “new challenge.”
Company’s Board got quite significant reinforcement in May 2014, when the former chief of Aristocrat Technologies, Atuli Bali joined.
In October 2019…
…co-founder of the company, Simon Collins, announced his retirement from his non-executive director position. He withdrew from the mobile game developer’s board immediately, giving no explanations for the decision.
Joining Forces for Further Growth
Buckley pointed out that these agreements confirm the producer is getting more and more popular as a business associate.
Just to remind you…
… the developer of Slingo games tied the knot with Relax Gaming. Thanks to this cooperation, RG’s partners also gained access to GR’s inventive products.
Among the most important agreements the Malta-based developer sealed, there’s a partnership with Yggdrasil, “a company with Viking heritage.” Besides games, the deal also brought access to in-game promotional and social sharing tools, BOOST and BRAG.

I’m sure this will bring plenty of benefits to Gaming Realms, helping them gain better visibility in these markets with high potential.
