Back Habanero Secures License from Malta Gaming Authority!

After deepening its Italian reach and striking a deal with EGT Interactive, Habanero Systems, a massively popular software supplier to the iGaming industry, has secured one of Europe’s most valuable accreditations – a license from Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

Thanks to the acquisition of the Critical Gaming Supply License from MGA and reaching this significant regulatory milestone, the European provider will continue to extend its sphere of influence in new territories besides Colombia, Denmark, Estonia, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Latvia and more.

A Well-Earned Accolade

Habanero is currently active in 16 jurisdictions, but the company strengthens its geographical range from Ukraine, Bulgaria, South Africa and the Philippines. Its software is certified by BMM Testlabs and iTech Labs, famous for providing a network of modern-day iGaming solutions at major industry events, such as ICE, iGB and EiG.

As a result of outstanding three years on the global market, the provider has increased the tempo of games development, introduced a powerful and friendly back office, improved API integration and partnered with a host of premium content suppliers such as Groove Gaming, Rush Street Interactive, LeoVegas and others.

On a similar note, the brand has already established itself as one of Europe’s market-leading studios, mostly thanks to megahits Scopa, Loony Blox and Colossal Gems, as well as recent releases Taberna de los Muertos, Happy Ape, Jellyfish Flow and Hey Sushi.

Slots and other iGaming products from Habanero are famous for their engaging gameplay, unblemished graphics and advanced sounds effects. The developer caters a portfolio with more than 100+ titles, whose established presence on the market easily drives revenue and attracts new players.

Set to Reach New Goals

By acquiring the industry’s most valuable gaming license, the renowned studio will gain full rights to provide its digital content to Malta-based operators. The certification is also important for further progress with Scandinavian operators, including the company’s efforts to collaborate with German-focusing brands during the jurisdiction’s “initial period”.

Arcangelo Lonoce, head of business development for Europe at Habanero said:

“Our growth in the last few years across markets such as Italy has established Habanero as one of Europe’s fastest-growing providers, so we’re absolutely thrilled to be entering the next phase in our company’s development with one of the industry’s must-have accreditations.”

Lonoce added:

“Thanks to the outstanding work of all our global teams, the wonderful world of Habanero is now set to reach more European players than ever before. We can’t wait to see what our new partners and markets will make of our content, and we look forward to announcing more new partnerships soon enough!”

Apart from building up its extraordinary collection of games, Habanero continues to reinforce the connections with tier-one operators such as Bet365 and Playtech. The studio has been nominated for multiple SBC and EGR Awards in previous months and it confirmed a sustainable, creative approach in game development as well as in-game promotional tools, centered towards customer retention and management.

Earlier in January, the provider cemented its position in Italy by forming a partnership with a local platform provider Blox.
