Hacksaw Gaming has announced an expansion of its partnership with UK-based Kitsune Studios, part of the supplier’s OpenRGS platform. As part of the deepened collaboration, Hacksaw has acquired a minority stake in Kitsune Studios, with an option to increase its ownership over time, signalling a long-term strategic alignment between the two companies.
Growing Collaboration on OpenRGS
Kitsune Studios has been live on Hacksaw’s OpenRGS platform since March 2025. As of November, the studio has three slot titles available, with a fourth scheduled for release in December 2025. This content forms a key element of Hacksaw’s strategy to broaden its portfolio through partnerships with external studios, complementing its in-house development and strengthening its pipeline for regulated markets.
Marcus Cordes, Operational CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, said: “Evolving our relationships with promising studios is a core strategy of Hacksaw, and we look forward to working more closely with the talented team at Kitsune Studios.”
Kitsune Studios Welcomes Investment
Phillip Douglas, CEO and founder of Kitsune Studios, described the investment as a milestone for the studio: “This partnership marks a major milestone for Kitsune Studios. Hacksaw Gaming’s investment reflects a shared belief in our vision, our creativity, and the future we’re building together. With their support, we’re moving faster, thinking bigger, and creating games with even more flair, personality and punch – the Kitsune way.”
While the exact size of the investment has not been disclosed, both parties confirmed that the arrangement is intended to reinforce collaboration, enhance content development, and ensure a steady flow of differentiated games to meet growing demand across regulated markets.
Hacksaw’s Broader Market Expansion
The partnership with Kitsune comes amid a busy period for Hacksaw Gaming, which has recently launched games with Caesars Entertainment in Pennsylvania, BetOCEAN in New Jersey, and Brazilian operators Betnacional and Esportes da Sorte. Additionally, the company has entered the Czech market through Apollo Games, highlighting its focus on expanding distribution channels and diversifying content sources globally.
Hacksaw’s recent activities illustrate a dual strategy: building proprietary content while leveraging external studios to enhance the OpenRGS platform. The investment in Kitsune Studios is a clear indication of this approach, aiming to deliver high-quality, engaging content that meets the evolving demands of operators and players in regulated jurisdictions.
The agreement also provides Hacksaw with the option to increase its stake in Kitsune over time, further deepening the strategic relationship and potentially enabling closer integration of the studio’s creative output with Hacksaw’s long-term content roadmap.
Shares in Hacksaw AB (STO:HACK) closed 1.36% higher at SEK 68.04 per share in Stockholm on Thursday, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s expansion strategy and partnership-driven growth model.
By strengthening ties with Kitsune Studios, Hacksaw Gaming is positioning itself to deliver a more diversified and competitive content offering, enhancing its standing in the growing global online casino market.

Hacksaw’s stake in Kitsune looks like a smart extension of its OpenRGS strategy; low risk, solid upside. Kitsune’s style fits the portfolio, and with Hacksaw’s wider market push, the partnership could deliver real value if it translates into faster, standout releases.
