Today, we want to talk about professionals who are the driving force behind the unstoppable growth of iGaming.

Introducing Marinos Shiapanis, co-founder and CMO of Campeon Gaming Partners, LCB goes over the current trends, best casinos, and makes a splash into the future in a conversation you will enjoy!

Q: How come you ventured into the online gaming world? What is it about this competitive branch of entertainment that drew you in?

A: I started in the industry around 10 years ago, by mistake I could say. I was a marketer and then jumped to gaming. But I really loved it and it was the industry in which you can get closer to the actual consumer. And you have to care about the consumer to make it real. So, that’s what I think is the good thing about it.

Q: Campeon Gaming Partners is a relatively young company, and yet you've made quite an impressive progress since the inception in 2016, even more so during 2018. This means you are doing something right! Would you mind revealing your secrets? What it takes to get off the ground and maintain a successful affiliate network in a fiercely competitive environment?

A: I think the main element of our success is, first of all, that we’re all industry professionals, working as a small team, more like a family. And, the most important thing is that we always see the player coming first and we create brands based on players. We don’t just create brands and have them sitting around. And, that is, I think, our success, for now, at least.

Q: You currently have three online casinos under your wing: CampeonBet came about in 2017, followed by EvoBet, and finally SvenBet Casino. All your brands have their place in the LCB Rewards program, Direct Support Board, exclusive bonus section and our very own loyalty Shop. The perks you provide are very popular within the LCB community. Are you happy with this collaboration? We and our members certainly are, judging by the sheer amount of bonus claims and Shop purchases taking place on a regular basis.

A: We’re very happy to be a member of LCB, and we are here from the beginning. When nobody knew us, you trusted us, and this is important for us. As we grow, we grow along with you, we put all the brands in, and more are coming, I would say.

Q: Campeon Bet Casino joined LCB in December 2017 and is a current favorite. Is it the golden child of CGP? Tell us more about this website and what makes it so popular?

A: I think, you know, it’s our first child, and so, sometimes we love it a bit more. It’s the oldest brand we have. It’s performing well for over a year now, meaning that the players are loyal to it, they like it. There is no secret behind it. The issue is that we work hard to satisfy the people coming to play. This is the important thing. This is what we do with all of our brands. We love a bit more Campeon, to be honest.

Q: If you had to name a single, must-have feature of every high-quality operator, what would that be?

A: Care about the players.

Q: Operating internet casinos is no easy feat. What are your priorities when it comes to engaging and retaining players? Is it true what they say - do what you love and do it well?

A: Yeah, that’s true for sure! You need to do it well and you need to do it with love always. It’s a give and take relationship – you have to keep everybody happy and this is done by giving and by taking.

Q: Would you say your affiliate program targets specific markets and audiences, or does your gaming buffet include globally appealing goods?

A: We have global appealing goods, that’s for sure. We are more oriented at this point in European traffic, and a bit of Latin America. This is our main focus. But, we can serve anybody.

Q: We hear you've recently applied for the Swedish remote gambling license. Do you see potential in this newly regulated market? Does new legal framework mean you'll have to adjust and custom-tailor your services to appeal to Swedes?

A: It’s not only the Swedish license, we just got an MGA license, we applied for the Swedish, that’s coming up and we are also applying for the UK license. We are also trying to go to some regulated markets and get our product more oriented to these markets and serve the people along with the regulations. This is the next step for a company like ours and a way to grow.

Q: Are there any other interesting projects in the pipeline?

A: I think in 2019. You’ll see some more brands coming from our hands along with the license.

Q: How do you see your affiliate network and online brands in the future?

A: The affiliate network is growing constantly, we have, I think, now over 400 affiliates on board, we’re recruiting more all the time. We’re trying to be competitive in this field as well, because, without affiliates we are nothing, we can say, in this industry. So, we have to have an honest relationship with them, and we’re doing our best to grow even more.
