Australian iGaming studio and slot specialist, Lightning Box, has expanded into North America by signing a multi-year agreement with Canada’s Loto Quebec.

The developer will launch a first batch of their games in this country, beginning with Lightning Horseman that will be the first to be presented to Canadian audience.

The Partnership That is Already Paying off

The Sydney-headquartered studio has already been very successful in the US…

…and is now making their move onto the market of Canada, by becoming the official partner of the country’s biggest operator. The integration will be assisted by SG Digital.

The state lottery of Quebec has already launched the Lightning Horseman slot that began to pay off immediately: it became Loto Quebec’s highest-earning game in the first 24 hours of its launch.

Next up is another popular slot game, Silver Lion, while new games will be released in the coming months.

The First Remarks

Says Peter Causley, CEO and co-founder of Lightning Box:

“We’re very excited to have launched Lightning Horseman in Canada, our first game in the country. Though this is our first title there, we have lots of experience in the North American market and this game adds to the impact we have made in real money gaming, social and land-based casinos.”

Product Manager at Loto Quebec, Marie-Eve Laberge, added:

“We’re delighted to be the first operator in Canada to go live with Lightning Box’s games. Their games have always been well-received across the border and given how well Lightning Horseman has performed already, we’re looking forward to rolling out further titles in the near future.”

Alliance With Sky Vegas

A distribution agreement between Lightning Box and Sky Vegas was signed not long ago, again with SG Digital’s platform involved with the alliance.

The first game that went live as a part of this agreement was Silver Lion.

Loto Quebec Reports a Revenue Increase

During the first nine months of 2019, Loto Quebec has reported a revenue increase of 1.53%

This was achieved in spite of general decrease of interest in lottery from players.

Casino revenue has risen 5.3% from the same period last year – the turnover for this segment was $512.5 million.
