Big Time Gaming has introduced MONOPOLY MEGAPOTS™, a new slot title that adapts the classic board game into a feature-heavy reels experience. The release first became available through Gamesys on March 25, with a broader rollout scheduled for April 9.
The game reimagines Monopoly’s property-building theme by integrating it into a slot format where each spin contributes to evolving gameplay elements. Players encounter Coins, Houses, and Cards across the reels, which act as triggers for the title’s core mechanics.
Nik Robinson, Founder and CEO of Big Time Gaming, said: “MONOPOLY is one of the most recognisable brands in the world, so bringing it into a Megapots™ experience was a huge opportunity for us.
“We’ve taken that familiar board-building concept and amplified it with escalating multipliers, dynamic features and massive MegapotsTM potential. It’s all about building momentum, pushing the limits and delivering those big, memorable wins players love.”
Core Mechanics Drive Escalating Gameplay
Central to the experience is the Hold and Spin feature, activated when six or more Coins, Houses, or Cards land anywhere on the reels. Once triggered, each symbol transforms into an individual reel, revealing additional symbols with every respin. Players begin with three respins, which reset whenever new symbols appear, allowing the feature to extend as long as new combinations continue forming.
Houses play a key role in boosting potential rewards. When four Houses appear, they combine into a Hotel, which gathers all Coin values currently visible and applies random multipliers that can reach as high as x200. If Coins land on multiplier positions afterward, their value increases further.
Card symbols introduce jackpot mechanics into the mix. Matching three Cards of the same type merges them into Mini, Midi, or Mega Megapots icons. Securing three matching jackpot icons awards the corresponding Megapots prize, which varies dynamically during gameplay and is only accessible through the Hold and Spin feature.
The slot also offers 117,649 ways to win, paired with very high volatility and a maximum exposure of up to 98,850 times the player’s stake.
Free Spins And Bonus Features Expand Win Potential
Free Spins provide another layer of progression by introducing a continuously increasing multiplier. Starting at x1, the multiplier rises by one each time a Coin, House, or Card lands, with no upper limit. This creates a compounding effect where extended rounds can significantly amplify winnings.
Additional Free Spins can be earned during the feature, with scatter symbols appearing on an extra reel. Landing three scatters grants five more spins, while four scatters unlock ten additional spins.
The Hold and Spin feature can also activate during Free Spins, allowing both mechanics to overlap and further expand reward opportunities.
For players seeking immediate access to these features, the Bonus Buy option offers direct entry. It allows activation of Hold and Spin for 35 times the stake or triggers 10 Free Spins for 100 times the stake.
Overall, MONOPOLY MEGAPOTS™ combines layered mechanics, progressive multipliers, and jackpot opportunities into a single experience designed to build momentum with each spin.

This Monopoly Megapots release is particularly eye-catching because of the appeal of the high prizes, but I'm a bit unsure if it really differentiates itself from other progressive slots or if it follows the same line with a more familiar brand image. The Monopoly theme is strong, but does that really impact the gameplay or is it more about the visuals? Another thing that intrigues me is the volatility... does the game compensate for the risk with good intermediate odds or does it depend almost entirely on a big prize? It seems promising, but I'm still hesitant until I see how it works in practice.
