Back NetEnt Applies For Pennsylvania License

The state of Pennsylvania, in October 2017, approved a bill that regulates and legalizes online gambling...

...Now, Swedish iGaming giant, NetEnt has decided to take shot at this unique market and has applied for a license with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

A Big Market to Conquer

With 13 million inhabitants, Pennsylvania is US' second-largest state with regulated online gambling (5th most populated in total) and therefore a very attractive market for world's biggest iGaming companies.

Hence, NetEnt wishes to reach out to local operators and find its path to players in this state who will be able to enjoy their brand of slot and table games who have won multiple awards...

...Also, Pennsylvania has a long-standing tradition of land-based gambling so NetEnt is dealing with a populace that is well-adjusted and accustomed to all sorts of gaming.

As Soon As Possible

NetEnt Americas LLC's Managing Director. Erik Nyman, wishes that the company begins its operations in Pennsylvania immediately: “We are excited to continue our strategic expansion in the US. We have enjoyed success in New Jersey and believe that this will continue in Pennsylvania.

He added: “We will launch with a mix of our table games, video slots, jackpot games and unique features like free spins that have been greatly appreciated by our customers and their players. Our ambition is to be live in Pennsylvania as soon as the market opens.”

At the moment, 11 out of 13 brick-and-mortar venues in PA have applied for online gambling licenses. The state's Gaming Control Board is offering seven outstanding licenses out of 39 available initially. The window for application is from October 15th to 31st.

The Board's representatives have previously stated that the coordinated launch of online wagering should happen early next year, if not before.
