Leading gaming solution, NYX Gaming Group, has recently appointed individuals to senior positions within its partner group, NextGen Gaming, to strengthen the team. NextGen first came onto the scene in 1999, and is part of NYX, as a result of a merge between the two back in 2011. Taking on the role of Chief Commercial Officer is David Johnson, and fulfilling the position of Chief Operations Officer, is Scott Dawson.
This is not Johnson’s first run with NextGen. In fact, the position marks his return to the brand, after four years of being Vice President of Casino Sales with NYX. Dawson, on the other hand, joins the team, following a recent position in GM Content Delivery. Scott Smith, NextGen co-founder, rounds out the senior team, remaining in his position as CEO.
Johnson is happy to be returning to the team, commenting, “I’m delighted to be back with NextGen Gaming having previously enjoyed a hugely rewarding time where we pioneered some of the industry’s most successful slots, prior to the inception of NYX Gaming Group. We have a number of compelling new game concepts under development, some attractive partner engagement plans and the advent of new technologies to enable partner suppliers optimal speed to market and ease of deployment.”
NYX’s CEO, Matt Davey, also commented, “Dave and Scott provide a wealth of expertise and experience to the business and reaffirm NextGen’s focus on delivering high quality content and building successful partnerships with new and existing clients.”
