Back Octoplay expands U.S. footprint with Michigan market launch

Octoplay has launched its content in Michigan, marking the company’s second regulated U.S. state and its largest coordinated market entry so far. The rollout places Octoplay live simultaneously with BetMGM, FanDuel, Fanatics, and Rush Street Interactive, less than six months after the supplier made its United States debut in New Jersey.

The Michigan launch represents a step forward in Octoplay’s North American strategy. As one of the three highest-grossing states for iGaming, Michigan offers scale and visibility, and Octoplay entered the market with four tier-one operators active from the outset. The company confirmed that this is its most extensive single-state launch to date, both in terms of operator coverage and market impact.

Since its establishment in October 2022, Octoplay has steadily expanded across regulated jurisdictions. The supplier currently holds active licenses in thirteen markets, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Malta, Italy, Greece, Romania, Slovakia, Ontario, New Jersey, and Michigan. The addition of Michigan builds on that foundation while reinforcing the company’s growing presence in the U.S.

Michigan Rollout Follows New Jersey Debut

Octoplay’s entry into Michigan comes shortly after its initial U.S. launch in New Jersey, signaling a fast-paced expansion plan within the country. The company views Michigan as a critical market due to its established iGaming performance and competitive operator landscape.

“Just months after our New Jersey debut, Michigan represents the next phase of our U.S. expansion,” says Ralitsa Georgieva, Director of Business Development at Octoplay.“Launching simultaneously with four leading operators shows the confidence the market has in our content. We expect to carry this momentum into additional states throughout 2025.”

Industry data has also pointed to Octoplay’s upward trajectory. Earlier this year, the supplier ranked first among U.S. rising suppliers by overall index in the first half, according to Eilers & Krejcik. With Michigan now live and further state applications underway, the company has positioned itself for continued growth across North America during 2025 and beyond.

European Growth Supports Broader Strategy

Alongside its U.S. expansion, Octoplay has continued to build its presence in regulated European markets. In previous developments, the supplier partnered with Novibet to introduce its content to the Greek online casino market. Through the agreement, Novibet added a selection of Octoplay’s games to its licensed platform in Greece.

The Greek rollout strengthened Novibet’s local casino offering while supporting Octoplay’s wider strategy of expanding through regulated channels across Europe. Greece remains an important market in Southeastern Europe, and the launch aligned with Novibet’s approach of enhancing its platform by working with licensed content providers.

By combining market entries in North America with continued partnerships in Europe, Octoplay has maintained a steady pace of growth across multiple regions. The Michigan launch highlights the company’s ability to execute large-scale deployments with established operators, while its European agreements demonstrate ongoing commitment to regulated market expansion.

As Octoplay continues to add new jurisdictions and operator partnerships, the company appears focused on building scale through coordinated launches rather than gradual rollouts. With Michigan now live and further U.S. states under review, the supplier’s expansion plans remain active on both sides of the Atlantic.
