Paysafe has launched PaysafeWallet in Poland, giving consumers access to a digital wallet that combines a personal payment account, virtual debit card and several ways to move money.
The launch builds on the established presence of PaysafeCard in the Polish market. Existing customers can access the new service through the Wallet tab in their accounts, while people without an existing account can download the PaysafeCard application for Android or iOS and complete registration within minutes.
PaysafeWallet gives users an IBAN-linked personal payment account alongside a virtual debit card. The service allows customers to add funds using cash, make purchases online or in physical locations, transfer money to other people and send or receive bank transfers. Cash withdrawals are also available.
“Young consumers in Poland are digital natives and expect their money to move as fast as they do,” said Bob Legters, Paysafe’s Chief Product Officer. “PaysafeWallet gives them something that feels made for them: their own debit card on their phone, the freedom to pay, send and spend however they want, and the reassurance that cash is still an option when they need it. We’re really excited about what we’re building for this generation.”
Wallet Adds Services Around PaysafeCard
The Polish rollout extends an existing relationship between Paysafe and local consumers who already use PaysafeCard. The company positions the wallet as a wider payment service that gives those customers additional functionality through the same broader ecosystem.
Users can choose between cash-based funding and digital payments depending on how they want to manage individual transactions. The wallet also provides a way to keep payment functions together within a mobile application rather than relying on separate services for different types of transfers and purchases.
Paysafe said approximately 600,000 people across Europe have joined PaysafeWallet during its first 18 months. The company cited that adoption as an indication of demand for payment services that accommodate different consumer preferences.
The company expects the Polish service to appeal to consumers who already have experience with PaysafeCard and want additional payment features. Its mobile format allows customers to manage their account and card from the same application, while the continued availability of cash gives users another funding option when required.
Mobile Payments And Cash Options
The service retains access to cash alongside its digital features. Customers can therefore add money with cash while also using their virtual card for spending, transfers and online purchases.
Paysafe has operated in payment technology for 30 years and focuses on areas including iGaming, video gaming, e-commerce, online trading, retail, travel and hospitality. Its wider portfolio includes card payments, digital wallets such as Skrill, PaysafeCard and local payment methods.
The company said it wants customers to have greater flexibility in choosing how they pay. The Polish launch adds PaysafeWallet to a market where PaysafeCard already has a substantial user base.

Great idea for paysafe to jump on this train . The fact you can both have an app for banking and a crypto wallet in one is genius idea. I hope to find more of these types of apps in the future. Thumbs up to paysafe.

This seems like a pretty useful move for Paysafe, especially in a market where PaysafeCard is already well established. Having both cash funding and a digital wallet in one app could make it a lot more convenient for regular users.

This is a positive development for the Polish payments market. PaysafeWallet merges digital payments, transfers, and a virtual card while still offering cash as an option, which may appeal to current PaysafeCard users.
