Back Play'n GO Conjures up Lord Merlin & The Lady of The Lake

There is a new sequel on the market, fresh off the assembly line from Play’n GO magical software factory. The producer of top-quality iGaming content has come up with another medieval title at the end of January, called Lord Merlin & The Lady of The Lake. It is based on the Arthurian family of slots which have gathered a large audience over time and now represent the studio’s finest work.

Play’n GO is famous for creating new game genres and families, but the provider also frequently develops stories that share recognizable characters, themes or settings. Among such franchises are Rich Wilde, Hugo, Reactoonz, Jolly Roger and Troll Hunters, to name a few.

A New Trip to Middle Ages

Unlike its previous editions (Bull in a China Shop, Miner Donkey Trouble and Coils of Cash), Lord Merlin & The Lady of the Lake offers a new medieval experience and builds up the tension from the very beginning! It plays out in a standard configuration, featuring only 5 reels and 3 rows, but also 10 ways to win and a maximum win exposure of up to 1,000,000 credits.

The story looks back to a mythical time in British history and it talks about the great wizard Merlin and his intriguing life, especially the start of his relationship with Vivian, the Lady of the Lake.

Described as adversaries in many tales of Merlin’s life, their relationship first started as a romance, which is not fully explored in history books.

For those who fervently follow game roadmaps of Play’n GO, it will come as no surprise that Lord Merlin and The Lady of the Lake is a sequel to a 2019 release – Rise of Merlin. The first title in this series is also focused on an earlier period in Merlin’s life, a theme that enjoys immense popularity with audiences across Europe. One year later, the busiest provider in the industry (52 launched games in 2020) is pleased to finally launch a successor to the original story, just as the audience requested.

Besides its ability to expand the legend, Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake will give players plenty of chances to strike big wins. There is a complimentary spin round that randomly selects a symbol to expand on the reels and trigger a screen full of Wilds, but it is also possible to earn Excalibur spins that re-trigger the bonus and double the potential of Rise of Merlin.

Although it seems linked to other medieval titles in the portfolio, the game is also a standalone product with two firm feet on the ground, commented CPO of the studio, Martin Zettergren:

“Our ‘families’ link games together under a recognizable umbrella; players see this and know that they are going to get the same great entertainment as a game they have enjoyed previously. However, familiarity alone will not keep players engaged; each game has to bring something different to the table, otherwise what’s the point?”

Sponsoring GAQM 2021

When not launching proprietary software and stand-out slot games, Play’n GO is busy on other fronts as well. This time, the company is proud to announce sponsorship of the first Gaming Americas Quarterly Meetup for 2021. Apart from sponsoring this celebrated event, head of sales and account management, Magnus Olsson was present to speak on two different panels.

The goal of Gaming Americas Quarterly Meetup is to increase access to quality information within the industry and provide an opportunity to participate in engaging discussions between the industry stakeholders.

Play’n GO was live on “The synergy between land-based and online operations” panel as well as “The US Gambling Industry seeks innovation” meeting, two essential topics about regional growth.

The event took place on the 28th of January.
