Back Play’n GO expands African footprint and adds new title

Play’n GO has confirmed that its catalogue of casino games is now available to Betway customers in Botswana, marking the company’s latest geographic expansion and another step in its growing African presence. The move places the Swedish supplier’s titles in front of players in a regulated market where Betway already holds a strong position, allowing local users to access a selection of well-known releases for the first time.

This development follows Play’n GO’s earlier collaboration with Betway in South Africa, which began in July. By extending that relationship northward, the supplier adds Botswana to a list of regulated territories that now exceeds 35 worldwide. The company’s portfolio includes more than 400 games, and the Botswana launch introduces players to established titles such as Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Rise of Olympus through the Betway platform.

Magnus Olsson, Chief Commercial Officer of Play’n GO, highlighted the importance of the region in a statement accompanying the announcement.

“The African gaming market is one of the most exciting and energetic in the world and we’re thrilled to be entering Botswana for the first time with our partners Betway.

“Play’n GO intends to be in every regulated market in the world, and Botswana now joins over 35 other regulated markets globally that are able to offer our world class games.”

Beyond its distribution partnerships, Play’n GO has also continued to build its brand profile through activities outside of game releases. The company sponsors the Moneygram Haas Formula 1 team and has recently introduced Play’n GO Shop, a fashion label that sits alongside its Play’n GO Music initiative. These projects aim to broaden how audiences engage with the brand beyond casino content.

New game focuses on character-driven play

Alongside its market expansion, Play’n GO has unveiled a new slot titled Buildin’ More Bucks. The game uses a five-reel, 243-ways layout and centers on Lenny the Leprechaun, who oversees the action from above the reels. Three supporting characters represent different building materials, and gameplay revolves around upgrading frames from wood to brick and then to gold as spins progress.

The base game features a Double Wheel that can activate character abilities or award instant prizes. When an Upgrade appears, a second wheel becomes available, increasing potential outcomes while keeping the structure straightforward. Character features trigger re-spins, during which Hard Hat symbols convert into the active material to help complete the grid.

Magic Spins and visual progression

Buildin’ More Bucks also includes Magic Spins, activated by landing three or more Hard Hat Scatters. Depending on the trigger, players receive pre-placed frames made of wood, brick or gold. As the round continues, frames upgrade automatically, and once the sequence ends, completed structures turn into houses that reveal instant prizes. The visual flow is designed to make each stage of play clear, from initial framing through to the final reveal.

The game’s presentation uses a bright, storybook style, with the Double Wheel positioned prominently above the reels.

Together, the Botswana launch and the release of Buildin’ More Bucks underline Play’n GO’s ongoing efforts to widen its reach while continuing to add new content tailored around recognizable characters and structured progression.
