Playson Expands Into Philippine Regulated Market

Playson has received approval from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation to distribute its gaming portfolio within the regulated Philippine market. The authorization allows the company to offer its content to licensed operators across the country through its partnership with Light & Wonder.

The approval marks another regulated market entry for Playson, which currently operates in 27 regulated jurisdictions worldwide. The company said the process moved forward through close coordination between its own teams and Light & Wonder’s integration, architecture, sales, and compliance divisions.

According to the companies, the project reached completion within days. Playson stated that its existing platform infrastructure already matched the technical specifications required for the Philippine market, limiting the need for additional system adjustments or major operational changes during integration.

Partnership Supports Fast Market Entry

Playson worked with Light & Wonder to make its portfolio available to operators licensed under Philippine regulations. The agreement enables local operators to access the supplier’s slot and casino content through Light & Wonder’s aggregation network.

The companies described the approval process as a collaborative effort involving multiple departments on both sides. Technical preparation already in place across Playson’s systems helped accelerate the launch timeline and reduced the complexity usually associated with entering newly regulated jurisdictions.
