Back Playson Launches Tornado Power Hold and Win

Playson has broadened its slot portfolio with Tornado Power: Hold and Win, a 3x4 title that mixes classic-style presentation with several layered features. The game incorporates 10 paylines and adds a mechanic that can shift the pace of play, providing frequent interaction with bonus elements.

Newly Introduced Tornado Feature Drives Gameplay

At the centre of the release is the Tornado Feature, which may appear at any time when a Thunder Bonus Symbol lands during either the main mode or the bonus sequence. Once active, the game can apply multipliers reaching 20x and may drop additional Bonus Symbols that can enhance the probability of accessing the Thunder Bonus Feature or the Hold and Win Bonus Game.

The Thunder Bonus Feature begins whenever both a Bonus Symbol and Thunder Bonus Symbol land together. When that occurs, the slot totals the values of all Bonus Symbols on the reels, including the four jackpot variations available in regular play. Plus, it adds the accumulated amount to the current spin in the main mode or the overall reward in the bonus sequence.

Players unlock the Hold and Win Bonus Game when at least one Bonus Symbol appears on every reel. In this mode, the grid contains only Bonus and Thunder Bonus symbols throughout. The round also allows as many as four Thunder Bonus Collect symbols to land on the centre reel, which increases the potential sum awarded during the feature.

Another mechanic, the Pile of Gold Feature, can also push players into the Bonus Game. Bonus Symbols that drop during standard play may trigger this sequence, which adds enough Bonus and Thunder Bonus Symbols to the screen to open the bonus round.

Enhanced Payout Elements Strengthen the Slot’s Appeal

The design of Tornado Power: Hold and Win, the newest addition to Playson’s game catalog builds around delivering additional win routes without altering the format of the 3x4 layout. The mix of randomly activated sequences, high multipliers, and variation among bonus paths demonstrates the studio’s approach to combining traditional structures with added features.

Commenting on the release, Anton Ivannikov, CPO, stated:

“Tornado Power: Hold and Win showcases our commitment to elevating the Hold and Win experience with engagement-boosting mechanics that genuinely move the needle. The new Tornado Feature introduces a fresh layer of dynamism to gameplay, giving players more ways to interact with bonus elements and enjoy heightened win potential. It's a strong reflection of our data-led approach to development, and we're confident it will resonate across a variety of markets.”

€10M Prize Initiative for 2025–2026

Alongside the new release, Playson has detailed its largest promotional programme to date. The company will distribute €10 million in prizes between July 2025 and June 2026 through a multi-format schedule featuring Cash Blast, Short Races, and Tournaments. More than 200,000 prizes are planned across the year, with individual payouts reaching €35,000 and an average reward dropping every 2.5 minutes.

The campaign runs daily across the 12 months and includes seasonal increases during December 2025 and January 2026. The company has also included several VIP-focused segments, such as Cash Days X-TREME, which carries a €300,000 quarterly pool for higher-value participants.

Operators can apply the initiative to a wide catalogue of games, including titles such as Diamonds Power: Hold and Win, Crown and Diamonds: Hold and Win, Royal Joker: Hold and Win , Solar Queen, Thunder Coins: Hold and Win, 3 Pots Riches Extra, and additional series instalments.

A separate festive programme, effective in December and January, covers more than 35 titles and distributes over €2 million in prizes. It features Non-Stop Drops with €500,000 each month, divided into four weekly phases.

Cash Days, running from the 1st to the 8th, provides €250,000 with top rewards of €25,000. Cash Days X-TREME returns from 25–31 December with €350,000 and upper-tier payouts of up to €35,000.

Short Races will operate from 9–24 December and 9–31 January, awarding €250,000, which exceeds the usual monthly amount by €100,000.
