Pragmatic Play has expanded its presence in Canada by making its casino content available from the first day of Alberta's regulated online gaming market. The supplier enters the province as operators begin offering services under the new framework, extending its reach beyond its existing operations in Ontario.
The company announced that players in Alberta can now access its portfolio of slot games, including Gates of Olympus, the Big Bass series, Big Bass Blast and the recently released Fury of Anubis. Its complete live casino catalogue also went live with the market opening, bringing table games such as blackjack, baccarat and roulette together with a selection of game show titles, including Gates of Olympus Roulette.
A social media announcement accompanied the launch, stating: "We're live in Alberta from day one as the province's new regulated iGaming market opens today 🍁"
Certified Portfolio Goes Live In Alberta
Pragmatic Play confirmed that its slot and live casino products have received certification for the Alberta market. The launch follows the introduction of regulated online gaming in the province, creating new opportunities for licensed operators and content providers in one of Canada's largest jurisdictions.
The supplier already has an established position in the country through partnerships with several tier-one operators in Ontario, where its casino products are available to local players. Alberta now becomes the latest regulated Canadian market to offer its content.
The company said the move supports its broader expansion across North America. It continues to provide operators with access to multiple gaming products through a single API integration as it grows its presence in regulated markets.
Canadian Expansion Continues
Sharon McHugh, Director of PR at Pragmatic Play, described Alberta's launch as another step in the company's plans for the region.
She said: “Alberta represents an exciting new adventure for regulated iGaming in Canada, and Pragmatic Play is delighted to be among the first suppliers bringing premium entertainment to operators and their players from day one.
“Building on our strong momentum in Ontario, this expansion reinforces Pragmatic Play’s long-term commitment to the Canadian market. We look forward to working closely with partners across the province as the market continues to develop.”
The company's Alberta offering combines established titles with newer releases. Alongside the long-running Gates of Olympus collection, players can access the Big Bass series and Fury of Anubis from launch. The live casino portfolio also becomes available immediately, covering traditional table games as well as interactive game show experiences.
Pragmatic Play's arrival coincides with the opening of Alberta's regulated iGaming market, allowing the supplier to begin operating in the province from its first day. The expansion builds on its existing Canadian partnerships and adds another regulated jurisdiction to its North American footprint while extending its certified content to operators and players across the province.

Launching on day one is a smart move. In a brand-new regulated market, early suppliers usually have the best chance to build player loyalty before the competition catches up.

Nice to see Alberta launching with a strong lineup from day one. More regulated options and more choice for players is always a good thing.
