QTech Games has expanded its African offering through a partnership with Shacks Evolution Studios, adding locally adapted gaming content to its aggregation platform.
The agreement allows operators to access a portfolio designed for regional audiences, including instant-win, crash, and virtual titles. The content focuses on accessibility and performance in markets where technical limitations can influence user experience.
Focus On Localized Content And Accessibility
Founded in 2021, Shacks Evolution Studios develops games for African and underserved markets. Its titles are built to address challenges such as lower-end devices, network constraints, and language diversity.
The portfolio includes crash games like Busly and Matatu, virtual titles such as Penaldo, and wheel-based formats including Reel Wheel and Spin The Bottle. Instant-play options like Coin Toss and the mines-style Citadel are also part of the lineup, alongside traditional table games.
These titles are optimized for quick loading and efficient performance, supporting engagement in regions with higher data costs and limited connectivity.
Aggregator Extends Reach In Emerging Markets
The integration strengthens QTech Games’ position across African markets by broadening its content selection. The platform already operates in multiple jurisdictions and provides tools such as mobile apps, reporting systems, and localized support for operators.
QTech Games CEO Philip Doftvik said: “We’re committed to rolling out more and more high-class content for Africa, and this exciting new deal with Shacks Evolution Studios showcases an agile array of content which solves for fine-grained, local requirements in countries where light, rapid-load games are a must.
“Being local is always vital, and it’s a domain of igaming activity in which QTech excels. In high-growth regions like Africa, content diversity matters enormously because player demand evolves very quickly — and it’s also shaped by local realities such as mobile usage, data costs, device types, and payment preferences.
“From what we’ve observed in Africa to date, localised design drives player behaviour when it comes to: familiar mechanics reducing friction and increasing adoption; local themes and culturally relevant formats significantly lifting engagement; and faster game cycles increasing repeat play among younger cohorts. And Shacks Evolution Studios’ varied content embodies these requirements.”
Added Tools Support Operator Engagement
The partnership follows another initiative involving Gamanza Engage, which introduced CRM and gamification tools to QTech’s network. Operators can use real-time dashboards, loyalty systems, and free-to-play mini-games to improve engagement.
These tools integrate with QTech’s analytics and machine-learning features, including its QTech Play game lobby.
Esther Osifo, Growth and Operations Manager at Shacks Evolution Studios, said: “Shacks is all about giving promising African developers the chance to shine. It’s about building a full ecosystem from virtuals and crash games to homegrown titles that defines Africa’s ascendant position on the igaming map.
“QTech’s platform is a gateway to fresh audiences, and nowhere does that apply more in Africa, where they are already a mature player. We can’t wait to see how our highly engaging games perform for a host of new local operators, including both established and challenger brands.”

Great article, Nina. Success in emerging markets isn't about porting over the flashiest European slots; it’s about building for the user's reality. By prioritizing rapid-load games and localized design, QTech and Shacks are setting a blueprint for how to scale responsibly and effectively across the continent. As Africa continues its ascent on the global iGaming map, look for "lightweight" and culturally tailored content to lead the way.
