Back Ra’s Reckoning Brings a Renewed Focus to Egypt’s Cosmic Duel

Play’n GO has expanded its Egyptian catalogue with Ra’s Reckoning, a 6×5 grid slot grounded in the fierce conflict between Ra, the sun deity, and Apophis, a colossal serpent tied to destruction.

Its setting spans scorched valleys and a looming eclipse that intensifies as gameplay advances, tying the mythic rivalry to the slot’s mechanical escalation. The release follows earlier Egypt-themed online slot titles from the studio, emphasising narrative structure as pressure builds between the two divine forces.

Features Inspired by Escalating Divine Power

Ra’s Reckoning functions through cascading cluster wins, clearing successful symbol groups, and drawing new ones into their place until no further combinations appear. Mega Drop heightens this reaction cycle: whenever a cluster forms, every identical regular symbol elsewhere on the grid disappears, causing additional cascades.

Divine Frames mark any tile involved in a win. These frames progress through bronze, silver, and gold tiers. Only one Ra’s Blessing symbol can appear in a spin, and when it does, it triggers all active frames to reveal Coins, Clash symbols, or Jars before resetting them on the following round. Coins add values that combine into a single reward.

Clash symbols multiply the values in adjacent positions and appear only once per spin. Jars collect visible Coins, then prompt another round of Divine Frame activations; they appear individually with each reactivation and remain in place until their stored value is taken.

Free Spins begin when Scatters land and maintain the Divine Frames between rounds until activated by Ra’s Blessing. A heightened version, Divine Red Eclipse, keeps the Frames illuminated across the entire feature, with more spins possible through extra Scatters.

The game’s flavour text underscores the tension: Ra moves “from temple to dune” as Apophis gathers strength under a darkening sky.

Magnus Wallentin described the interplay between narrative and features: “Ra’s Reckoning exemplifies our passion for combining thematic storytelling with innovative features. The evolving Divine Frames and Mega Drop mechanic create a sense of momentum and consequence with every cluster.”

Reactoonz 100 Strengthens a Long-Running Grid Series

Play’n GO has also extended its science-fiction lineup with Reactoonz 100, expanding on a familiar grid framework built around clusters and chain reactions. The new entry incorporates a multiplier that can reach 100× and preserves the Quantum Meter system known from earlier releases. Fluctuating symbols place Wilds onto the board, while the Energized Toon function drives multipliers upward. Once the Quantum charge completes, a multi-phase Gargantoon sequence drops waves of Wilds to maintain the flow of combinations. The title continues the recognisable elements of the series while broadening the scale of its features.

Reaching Land-Based Casinos for the First Time

Separately, Play’n GO has entered land-based casinos through a collaboration with Genting. BOOM Slots, a cabinet developed for Genting properties, features an initial group of 13 titles such as Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead, Reactoonz, Honey Rush 100, and Buildin’ Bucks. The collection was tested at Resorts World Casino in Birmingham for more than six months and is now rolling out to over 30 Genting casinos across the United Kingdom, including Genting Stratford in London.

Genting’s portfolio includes properties from the United States to Malaysia. Play’n GO, which began by producing games for early mobile devices, now offers more than 400 titles across over 35 regulated jurisdictions. Introducing these games into land-based casinos marks a new distribution channel for its established catalogue.
