SOFTSWISS has secured official membership in Associação Nacional de Jogos e Loterias (ANJL), marking the first time the Brazilian body has admitted a technology supplier. The announcement was made in São Paulo on 25 February 2026 and signals closer cooperation between platform providers and Brazil’s regulated betting and lottery sector.
At the same time, Carla Dualib, who serves as Business Development Manager for Brazil at SOFTSWISS, has taken a seat on the association’s Board as Communications Director. She will retain her existing position within the company while assuming board responsibilities.
Technology Provider Enters Regulatory Dialogue
ANJL represents licensed operators and other central participants in Brazil’s betting and lottery market. The organisation works alongside regulators and public authorities to encourage a market structure built on transparency and oversight. It also engages in ongoing discussions related to compliance standards, responsible gambling measures and the adoption of recognised industry practices.
By becoming a member, SOFTSWISS extends its participation in Brazil’s regulated environment beyond supplying software. The company stated that it will contribute technical knowledge, compliance capabilities and operational experience developed across regulated jurisdictions. The move places a technology partner directly within the association’s framework for dialogue between operators and regulators.
In her new board role, Dualib will concentrate on communications strategy and industry engagement. Her remit includes reinforcing structured dialogue across the sector and promoting clear exchanges between market participants and oversight bodies. The objective is to support the continued development of Brazil’s regulated framework.
“Brazil’s regulated market is entering a new phase where communication, collaboration, and shared standards matter more than ever,” said Carla Dualib, Business Development Manager for Brazil at SOFTSWISS and Communications Director at ANJL. “ANJL plays an essential role in bringing the industry together, and I am honoured to contribute to initiatives that support responsible growth and a strong long-term market framework.”
Plínio Lemos Jorge, President of ANJL, addressed the appointment and highlighted the association’s expectations. “We have been looking for this kind of expertise to strengthen our communications and industry engagement. Carla brings strong credibility in Brazil and a deep understanding of the market. Her role aligns with ANJL’s mission to support a transparent and sustainable regulated sector.”
