SOFTSWISS, a global leader in iGaming solutions, has officially announced the integration of a new Horse Racing Module into its Sportsbook software. This launch, designed to enhance its existing offerings, will initially be rolled out in South Africa. With over 15 years of experience, SOFTSWISS continues to expand its portfolio, bringing innovative products to a diverse range of markets.

The horse racing industry holds a significant place in the global betting landscape, especially in regions with historical ties to the United Kingdom. Countries like South Africa, Canada, Japan, and New Zealand all have strong traditions of horse racing, making it a prominent sector in the betting world. Market research shows that the global horse betting market is set to grow considerably, with projections suggesting it will reach an impressive €82.6 billion by 2032.

This growth comes at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% from 2023 to 2032. The launch of SOFTSWISS' Horse Racing Module presents new business opportunities for operators, with an average of 320 local races and 2,150 international races from 14 different countries available for betting every month.

The new Horse Racing Module was initially developed by Turfsport, a well-established South African software provider with 35 years of experience in the iGaming industry. Turfsport was recently acquired by SOFTSWISS, allowing the company to enhance its product lineup further. The module provides players with the opportunity to place fixed-odds bets on multiple markets. It also includes features like race cards, silks, and a variety of bet types. Moreover, the solution is designed with adaptability in mind, enabling operators to apply custom skins and configurations to align with their brand identities.

Alexander Kamenetskyi, Head of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, spoke about the importance of this launch, stating: "The acquisition of a majority stake in a key South African software provider has enabled us to integrate the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook with the Horse Racing Module by Turfsport, widening our offering. Launching this module in South Africa aligns with our recent expansion into the region, where we have obtained local certifications for our Casino Platform and Sportsbook. Horse racing remains highly popular, particularly in South Africa, but we are confident this product has strong global potential. This integration marks just the first step in the ongoing development of the Horse Racing offering within our Sportsbook."

SOFTSWISS Expands in South Africa

The launch of the Horse Racing Module is part of SOFTSWISS’ broader expansion efforts in South Africa. Earlier in 2024, the company introduced two other products tailored to the South African market. The first was the Lotto Software, which allows operators to offer a broad range of customizable lottery betting options, independent of traditional lottery organizers. This product is optimized for both desktop and mobile, enabling players to engage in custom or quick-pick betting options.

The second product launched in South Africa was the Retail Betting Solution, which supports various betting activities, including sports betting, lotteries, horse racing, and casino games. This solution enables operators to establish offline gambling businesses quickly and legally, further strengthening SOFTSWISS' presence in the country.

To provide further insights into its latest developments, SOFTSWISS will be attending the SBC Summit Lisbon from 24 to 26 September. Attendees visiting Stand B160 will have the chance to explore the recent updates within the SOFTSWISS ecosystem. This event offers a key opportunity for industry leaders and stakeholders to engage with SOFTSWISS' latest innovations and strategic advancements.
