Brazil has now completed its first year under a regulated iGaming framework, marking a period of active market formation, regulatory adjustments, and rapid adaptation by both operators and technology providers. Since the framework came into effect on 1 January 2026, operators and service providers have increasingly aligned their offerings with the new rules, creating a more structured and compliant environment for the industry.
During this period, SOFTSWISS has emerged as a leading technology partner, signing more than 30 commercial agreements with operators focused on the Brazilian market. Partners include recognized names such as Betnacional and Estrelabet, demonstrating demand for market-ready, compliant solutions.
Certified Products Enable Market Entry and Growth
SOFTSWISS was the first company to receive certification for its Game Aggregator in Brazil, soon followed by certification for its Sportsbook, Casino Platform, and Jackpot Aggregator. These approvals provide operators with a fully certified product ecosystem, allowing them to launch and expand their services while remaining fully compliant with local regulations.
Market data reflects steady growth throughout the first year. Between the first and third quarters, Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) rose by 50%, while Total Bets increased by 33%, signaling a consistent upward trajectory rather than temporary spikes. This growth coincided with greater player and operator familiarity with the regulated framework.
The expansion of certified content has also played a crucial role. Initially, the SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator offered titles from three major providers, but this has now grown to more than 30 certified game suppliers, increasing both variety and scale for Brazilian operators. Among the most popular games are Fortune Rabbit, Fortune Tiger, and Fortune Dragon from PG Soft, Roleta Brasileira by Playtech, as well as Panda Luck and Aviamasters by BGaming. This combination of international and locally relevant titles underscores strong demand across player segments.
Industry Engagement and Responsible Gambling
While the first year has involved ongoing regulatory clarifications and evolving requirements, SOFTSWISS has treated this period as a constructive phase for market formation, drawing on its experience in regulated jurisdictions worldwide.
Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, said: “Brazil is a complex and highly attractive market. The first year of regulation was intense for the industry, with rules continuing to take shape along the way. Thanks to our experience in regulated markets, we are able to adapt quickly and bring our technical solutions into compliance, ensuring that our clients can operate effectively. Our success in Brazil is driven by both strong technology and the people behind it.”
Beyond technical support, SOFTSWISS has engaged in industry dialogue and education. Rubens Barrichello, Non-Executive Director, opened SiGMA Americas, one of the region’s largest industry events, and participated in several initiatives connecting business, sports, and responsible market practices. He said: “I am proud of the teamwork and the way we collaborate across the industry. Brazil is moving in the right direction as a regulated market, and I personally strongly support responsible gambling – a principle that truly distinguishes legal operators who are committed to protecting players.[...]”
As Brazil’s iGaming market matures, SOFTSWISS continues to solidify its role as a certified technology partner, offering scalable solutions while supporting sustainable growth for both operators and the broader industry.
