Stakelogic Acquires Belgrade Headquarters Through Smart&Applied Purchase

Online gaming giant Stakelogic has announced the acquisition of Belgrade-based software developer Smart&Applied in order to further expand and enhance their in-house capabilities and offerings.

The new acquisition will be renamed Stakelogic Serbia and will move into the new state-of-the-art headquarters in the country’s capital later this year.

A Natural Fit

One of the most in-demand online casino content developers in the world has bought the company founded by Igor Marinkovic that has been working with Stakelogic for the past three years. This is what made it a natural acquisition target for the big brand name.

Marinkovic will become the General Manager if the newly formed Stakelogic Serbia division.

Stakelogic’s CEO, Stephan van den Oetelaar, said:

“The acquisition of Smart&Applied really strengthens our in-house development capacity and will allow us to continue to grow at pace while delivering new content to the market on a regular basis.

Stakelogic Serbia’s General Manager Igor Marinkovic added that he is thrilled to become the part of the fastest-growing company in online gaming industry. He said that he hopes his contribution to making sure the business continues to grow rapidly will be substantial.

He also said that the relationship between Stakelogic and Smart&Applied has become strong over the years as they have been working hand in hand for years. This acquisition, he says, is the next obvious step and focusing on game development under Stakelogic name will be a pleasure.
