Swiss iGaming License Obtained by Casino Interlaken

Switzerland has last year regulated its iGaming market and since then several land-based casinos have secured their licenses for this vertical. They are now joined by Casino Interlaken which has obtained a permit by Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission regulator.

The land-based casino, located at the south of Bern, will be offering online casino games to all the players in this Central European country.

The Wrap-Up From November

The casino was originally given green light for this in November 2019…

…but there needed to be a final sign-off from Federal Council (Bundesrat). The casino is owned by Casinos Austria International and now has all the necessary documentation to carry on offering online gaming in this country.

They have already rolled-out the StarVegas.ch website.

Joining the Big Names

This casino has joined the host of other gambling establishments – Grand Casino Baden, Casino Davos, Grand Casino Luzern and Casino Zurichsee – who have also obtained their online gaming licenses.

Another casino who may join the show is Casino Kursaal Bern. They too have been given a license in November but were not yet given a final approval.

In January, Switzerland’s regulator has confirmed that they have added another 35 websites to the blacklist of restricted operators.

Casino Baden’s Safe Payments

In December, Grand Casino Baden teamed up with SafeCharge company for secure processing of credit card transactions on jackpots.ch platform.
