Back US Gets One More Online Gaming Lobbying Association

Strict gambling regulations in the United States might just reach a turning point this year, as its capital, Washington D.C, becomes the home of yet another online gambling lobbying group, called the i-Development and Economic Association (iDEA).

The main idea is to educate and advocate about the largest entertainment business in the world, which could have positive long-term effects on the country’s economy and unemployment rate. Being one of the largest countries in the world, America deserves a stronger gambling market, and we all know what benefits that might bring.

iDEA wants to represent all the major players and influencers of the iGaming industry and to lobby politicians in order to create an organized gambling market on American soil. Recent events in New Jersey can well be used as a breaking point in this matter, and the new lobbyists hope it could create an optimistic environment for solid, constructive debates.

Driven by the positive outcome of the law, iDEA intends to change how things stand at the moment, and educate the legislators about the real advancements of a standardized and fine-tuned online gambling market. According to the new lobbying group, the main obstacle for online gambling represents the AGA (American Gaming Association), whose main donor is willing to spend vast amounts of money and bring the online gaming to a screeching halt.

Casino game developers like Net Ent, Resorts Interactive, NYX and online payment companies like Paysafe and GVC Holdings are slowly gathering around the idea of providing full support to the lobbyists. There are only three states in which online gambling is allowed: Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware, and things work well there. There is a high jump in revenues and despite not reaching a large tax number, it is only a matter of time before other states like Pennsylvania, California or New York join – and that is just the beginning.
