Wazdan has expanded its Hold the Jackpot™ portfolio with the release of Throne of Elements™: Platinum, a new slot built around progressive reel activation, Guardian symbols and a Grand Jackpot worth up to 2,500x.
The game takes place in an elemental-themed setting and uses a grid containing up to 25 reels. Players begin with part of the grid available, while 12 additional reels can open as gameplay progresses and new sections become active.
Guardian symbols play a central role in that progression. When they land across the middle row, they can activate extra reels and expand the available playing area. The game also includes an exclusive central reel that can display Hold the Jackpot™ and Extra Life symbols, which do not appear elsewhere on the grid.
Progressive Grid Drives Bonus Gameplay
The Hold the Jackpot™ feature can begin through a symbol appearing on the central reel or when Guardian activation is completed across the middle row.
Once the bonus starts, the game opens the full 25-reel layout. Symbols remain fixed in place and players receive three respins. Each new symbol that lands resets the respin count.
The Grand Jackpot can reach up to 2,500x and may also be awarded through the Grand Mystery symbol, providing an additional route to the game's top prize.
Throne of Elements™: Platinum also includes Extra Life symbols, which can provide up to three additional lifelines when bonus respins run out. The wider game presentation describes these symbols as appearing during the base game.
Another mechanic, Cash Out Countdown, activates when a Mystery Cash symbol lands. When its counter reaches zero, the feature triggers a full-reel payout.
The title also uses Wazdan's Cash Infinity™ symbols and Mystery transformations as part of its evolving gameplay across the expanding reel grid.
Wazdan Adds Signature Mechanics
Players can use Wazdan's Chance Level™ mechanic to increase the likelihood of activating the bonus feature. The developer has also included Customisable Volatility Levels™, allowing the game to accommodate different player preferences and requirements.

The progressive unlocking of 12 additional reels sounds like one of the more interesting parts of this release, especially since it directly builds toward the full bonus grid.
