Yggdrasil, the forward-thinking online gaming solutions and content creator, has been granted membership to SPER, Swedish Gambling Association. The significant opportunity serves to demonstrate the supplier’s commitment to advocating responsible gambling behavior in this jurisdiction.
Representing the licensed gambling market in Sweden, SPER gathers 20 members committed to acting in a responsible and ethical manner. Among the main goals of the institution is to maintain a healthy, safe and sustainable gambling ecosystem in the year-old regulated territory.
Comments Jenny Nilzon, CEO at SPER:
“We are thrilled to welcome Yggdrasil as a supplier member and to further grow our network as it is more important than ever for all industry stakeholders to cooperate and ensure consumer protection is in focus.”
Highest Standards for Protection
Established in 2002, the association currently gathers 20 members, both operators, and suppliers active and approved in Swedish territory following the opening of the online activities in January 2019.
Enabling members to discuss industry best practices…
…along with challenges and issues and learn from one another, SPER’s platform is a medium dedicated to building a healthy, modern, and sustainable gambling environment.
Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of Yggdrasil pointed out:
“As an industry leader, we always strive to act in a responsible manner, and industry collaboration is needed to achieve the highest standards to ensure players are protected.”
All members agree to respect common responsible gambling and marketing guidelines as an integral part of their day-to-day operations. By closely following an established code of ethics, they unitedly ensure a high level of player protection.
Elmqvist added:
“Social responsibility is an important part of our work at Yggdrasil and by joining SPER we are committing to ensuring that the Swedish gambling market is both safe and sustainable.”
Conquering New Markets
The forward-thinking supplier joined forces with Svenska Spel, the largest Swedish operator in October 2018, before the market was officially introduced. Besides positioning itself in this part of Scandinavia, the studio also collaborates with neighboring brand from Finland, Veikkaus.
At the beginning of the current year, the solutions provider was granted another significant approval. By obtaining a B2B software license by the Isle of Man Supervision Commission, the company secured its long-term presence across a diversity of existing markets.
Bringing Innovations
Continuously brainstorming on how to level-up user engagement, the studio came up with innovative in-game mechanics Splitz. This state-of-the-art product comes with massive winning potential and brings more challenges to gaming sessions.
Wanting to redesign one of the classics…
…Yggdrasil enhanced the wealthy collection of games with Golden Chip Roulette. Combining typical elements of traditional Roulette game with actionable features, the developer managed to create a sophisticated product for the most demanding clientele.

These firm ties with Sweden will help them position even better. It’s one of the most stringent markets, and whoever manages to gain their respect deserves to be among the stars.
