Back Zemax Casino Investigation Raises Serious Concerns

We recently completed an in-depth review of the online casino operating under the domain zemax.at, registered on February 6, 2026. Based on everything we examined, we’ve classified this platform as unsafe, with a high risk level for players. Our findings point to a pattern of misleading claims, questionable ownership details, and technical irregularities that align with known scam operations.

Conflicting License Claims And Ownership Issues

The casino presents itself as a licensed operator, referencing both the Curaçao Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.

However, our checks show no valid licenses from either regulator. This alone raises red flags, but the situation becomes more complicated when looking at how the site handles its corporate identity.

Different sections of the website list separate companies and license numbers. The footer states:

"zemax.at is owned and operated by TechSolutions Group N.V., registration number: 144920, registered address: Abraham Mendez Chumaceiro Boulevard 50, Willemstad, Curaçao. Payment agent company is TechSolutions (CY) Group Limited with address Parthenonos 5, PARNERA GARDENS 11, Flat 103, Strovolos, 2020 Nicosia, Cyprus and Registration number: HE 377018."

Elsewhere, the Terms and Conditions page introduces a different entity and adds:

"Medium Rare N.V. has an application (OGL/2024/1451/0918) for a gaming license in progress with the Curaçao Gaming Authority. Until that process is concluded, based on a transitional arrangement outlined in the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (Landsverordening op de Kansspelen, P.B. 2024, no. 157), the company is permitted to continue its operations under this Certificate of Operation."

These statements don’t align. One license mentioned has expired, while another belongs to a different company altogether. We also found no evidence linking zemax.at to either of the companies it names, which suggests the site is presenting borrowed credentials to appear legitimate.

Fake Games And Manipulated Content

Our technical checks uncovered strong evidence that the games offered on the platform are not authentic. Titles supposedly provided by well-known studios such as Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, BGaming, Evoplay, 1Win, and Mirror Image Gaming appear to run on manipulated files rather than official servers.

Pragmatic Play

Hacksaw Gaming

BGaming

Evoplay

1Win

Mirror Image Gaming

We identified mismatches in game sources and irregular JavaScript behavior, both of which point to unauthorized versions of games. This means players are not interacting with verified systems, and outcomes may not reflect fair gameplay.

The platform also displays betting activity that looks unrealistic. Large wagers and frequent high payouts appear in a steady stream, which doesn’t match typical player behavior. This kind of display can give the impression that big wins are common, potentially influencing user decisions.

Questionable Verification Process And Player Feedback

Another major concern lies in the account verification process. Instead of asking for standard identification documents, the platform instructs users to deposit funds to complete verification.

One step reads:

“A simplified online verification procedure that requires you to make a deposit of $60 or more. Once the deposit is credited to your balance, verification will be completed.”

This approach doesn’t match legitimate industry practices. Licensed casinos verify identity through documents, not mandatory deposits tied to account approval.

We also reviewed the site’s feedback section and found only five-star reviews. Some of these claim users have been active since 2017, even though the domain only went live in 2026. That inconsistency suggests the testimonials were created to build trust rather than reflect real user experiences.

The platform also promotes an affiliate program, but there is no verifiable evidence that it exists as a legitimate or recognized offering.

Misleading Promotions And False Claims

The website’s news section adds another layer of concern. Articles claim regulatory approvals and industry awards that don’t exist.

One piece suggests the platform is approved in Brazil, yet it doesn’t appear on the official list of authorized operators. Another implies it won a major industry award that actually went to a different company.

There are also claims about expansion into regulated markets like Italy, but no supporting evidence appears in official registries. These kinds of statements can easily mislead readers into believing the platform holds a stronger position than it actually does.

Final Assessment

Looking at the full picture, we see a consistent pattern. The site mixes false licensing claims, unclear ownership, manipulated games, and misleading promotional content. It also follows a familiar setup often used in scam operations, where users are encouraged to deposit funds but face obstacles when trying to withdraw.

We strongly advise players to stay away from this platform. The risks tied to depositing money here are significant, and there’s no reliable indication that funds or winnings would be returned.
