  •             I use a prepaid VISA for some dep. and wanted to know if you can use ACH on it like a checking acct?  In theory it's almost the same.

  • Hi bongo,

ACH is essentially and electronic check. To initiate one, the casino would likely ask for bank account details including a routing number/BIC which will not work for cards. You would have to request a credit to a Visa/Mastercard if allowed.

    Hope that helps.

  •         Yeah, froggy it's just that I use a prepaid/reloadable VISA  that I have some money directly deposited  on from my job .  It has a routing number,  etc.  I don't see why they couldn't  treat it like a checking acct.  I mean it's essentially getting an ACH deposit every two weeks anyway, right?

  • Prepaid was the key word. These are unique. Sorry, I saw VISA and missed it.  sundays is absolutely right when it comes to prepaid cards. There is an account number and routing number given that allows for transactions to run the ACH network and post to your prepaid card.

Many times prepaid card issuers use a pseudo routing number for these cards which will not match their standard routing number. So be sure to contact them to find out exactly what it is if you haven't already. Has to do with data protection or something if I recall.

  •           Yeah, it's similar to the cards you mention sunydays,    When I went to fill out a direct deposit form  (from my employer) I pulled the info. up on the company's website and they had a deposit slip that looked exactly like a checking acct.  and they even said when asked about what kind of acct. it is, to state "checking".  So  I think I am going to try that.  I  miss Neteller
with the ATM card,  laugh_out_loud  Don't get me started.
