Using a gift card to deposit

I have a Visa gift card and because of the restrictions they put on it, I can't find a casino that I can use it at for depositing. I'm in the U.S. & it says no international usage or gambling. I remember a while back that when the transaction goes through it comes up as something other than a casino name so it doesnt get declined. Does anyone know a way around these restrictions & where I can use it?

This is a question that hasn't come up for some time. Unless the back of gift card states it's for international use it does pose a problem. You are right that some casinos will list the deposit as a purchase for a product or service but it won't really help you for your dilemma. That is so your card is not declined for online gambling, however, in most cases, it is still listed as an international transaction. 

Hopefully, another member has found a casino that will accept it. I would like to know as well. Great question to bring current 

Ok then, how about bitcoins? What's the deal with those?

I wish I had seen this thread way earlier than I have.

This member as long as the card was paid for with cash, could have turned there card in for BTC.  This could have been done on Local Bit Coins or Paxful, either one would have helped them out.

Hopefully I'll pay more attention to these things in the future.

There is a good chance that iNetBet Casino will accept it.

@debadee123 Not sure how you can move past it but what I can suggest is something like a Vanilla Mastercard. $25, $50, $100, $200 plus fees the larger they are! These cards do wonders if you have them in the US

Thanks for your tip Quickwitted! The Vanilla MC is available in the US but I know the gift card is not international. Not sure if the prepaid is.

I pretty much only use prepaid vanilla gift cards to make deposits and purchases online and for me it doesn’t really matter if it’s a prepaid Visa or MasterCard. Its definitely not worth it for gambling because of the hefty activation fees that your already losing out on but this is the only deposit method avaliable to me right meow so I still buy and use them.

There were however two times that I bought a prepaid vanilla card $25.00 each and the card didn’t activate and I didn’t get the activation receipt so I wasn’t able to get a refund or a replacement card. This also happend to me with a $100.00 Vanilla card that I received for a present on my birthday. Its clearly frustrating but there is absolutely nothing that I can do now. I’ve learned my lesson with this company and the product itself and here’s some friendly advice that I highlyrecommend listening to. 

IF YOU BUY A PREPAID VANILLA CARD YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ASK FOR THE ACTIVATION RECEIPT FOR PROOF OF PAYMENT OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED!

I’ve only had problems depositing at two casinos with these prepaid cards which are Bitstarz and BobCasino. Apparently they don’t accept them. Other than that though they seem to work fine at every other casino Ive played at. This is obviously all coming from a Canadians perspective though and not an American.

I tried before I could manage this kind of deposit method from my location but not anymore it seems are for US players  for now. I used different ones like nintendo e shop or amazon 

I dont know if im allowed to post this but i would like to share my experience with giftcards. When i receive them i always send to a site that trade every giftcards u have for a bit fee. for example 35,- euro is like 30 euro worth to your bank account. U should try it out. its easy, fast and great support. One time i sended 2 giftcards worth 36,- euro total and got it 10 minutes later in my bank. That's pretty fast! Its possible! Dont let dreams be dreams, just do it! :)

I am using this service. Phisycal gift card I am sending via post and after aprove get money in my IBAN. But before I used them in some US betting sites like Bookmaker and I reall liked but I see no alternative and other services are with a lot of scam
