  • So apparently the third Monday of January has a reputation as the “saddest day of the year.” Yup, Blue Monday is here. While experts say it’s not scientifically proven (it actually started as a marketing idea), the timing still makes sense. Post-holiday bills, broken New Year’s resolutions, cold weather, and way too little sunlight can definitely mess with our mood.

Some mental health professionals agree that January can feel heavy for a lot of people. Less daylight can affect serotonin levels, winter isolation hits harder, and the pressure to suddenly “fix your life” in the new year doesn’t help either.

Some solid, realistic tips to get through it:

✅Stick to a sleep routine (your brain loves consistency)

✅Lower the bar on goals - remember that small wins still count

✅Get outside, even for 15–30 minutes

✅Move your body, even a short walk helps

✅Stay connected and plan at least one thing to look forward to

    ✅Drop the perfectionism (seriously)

The biggest takeaway? You’re not alone. Feeling a mid-winter slump is super common, and just knowing others feel it too can be reassuring.

How’s everyone else handling Blue Monday this year? Any go-to mood boosters? 💙

  • Hmm, this is really interesting. When all the holidays are over, it feels like we have nothing to look forward to until Easter… unless your birthday is somewhere in between, hehe party.

But there’s always some reason to celebrate and have fun. For me, a good walk and grabbing a coffee with friends always helps whistle

  • When I got bad day. There is always music with me, where I can relax and think about, how I can make my day  better ...👍

  • That’s such a good one genijs. Music can completely change the mood of a day. 🎶

It’s amazing how the right song can help you reset, think more clearly, or just breathe a little easier. Do you have a go-to artist or playlist when you need that boost?

A walk + coffee with friends is honestly underrated therapy. Sometimes it’s the simple rituals that carry us through winter. ☕🚶‍♀️

  • Monday mornings with a low mood are more common than you think — many people feel this way because of the change of pace from the weekend to the daily routine. The good news is that you can alleviate this feeling with some simple strategies:

🌤️ Quick things that help in the moment
Move your body: a short walk, stretching, or even dancing to music releases endorphins.
Sun and fresh air: natural light helps regulate mood and the biological clock.
Micro-goals: choose just 1 easy task to start with. Completing something small already gives a sense of progress.
  • Yup geferson fernandes,  Monday mornings can feel rough for a lot of people; that's why it's great to share these cool tips and tricks for surviving Mondays (all of them, not just the Blue one), to create positive energy and make those bad vibes go away. ✨

You've mentioned easy tasks- that's great, and I'm gonna share a ritual of mine with you: writing things down in a notebook instead of your phone also makes a difference, especially if you cross items off with colorful pens once you finish them, it gives this satisfying sense of micro-achievements. ✍️ 📔💖

  • I think a big part of beating the winter slump is just having small things to look forward to during the week. Even something simple like watching a good movie, cooking a nice meal, or planning a game night can lift the mood a lot. Sometimes those little breaks from routine make the biggest difference. 🙂

  • Agree I hate them.

Having those little things to look forward to can really break up the monotony and lift your spirits. It’s all about finding those moments of joy, even if they’re small, and using them as a reminder that the tough days won’t last forever. 💪

    That's such a good song!

I've got the perfect one for this Friday as well : “Friday I’m in Love” by The Cure. 🌧️💛
Even if it’s rainy outside, while listening to this song, feels like sunshine is sneaking through the clouds.
