2012

I guess I've been living under a rock but my 17 yr old just told me that the world is supposed to end in 2012.I cant help but think about how many other predictions have came and gone but i do watch the news and there has been some horrible weather all around.I just wanted to see what every1 thought about this topic because I'm at a lost of what to think.I just saw on the news where the weather authority will be having a meeting about hurricanes in the USA  Very disturbing at the least.

My prediction: the world will not end in 2012. Disasters will always happen, they always did, the world is still there. There were far bigger disasters and wars in the past, the big difference is that there weren't thousands of TV Networks to broadcast images of destruction every day.

I'm surprised you just heard about the world ending in 2012.  Doncha just love the stuff our kids teach us?
There is a movie called 2012 about the very thing.

I realize there are scientists and theologians who claim 2012 will be doomsday but I won't live my life scared.  I want to believe my kids will grow up, finish colllege, get married and have families.

Remember the hoopla around 2K?  Nothing happend there.

That's why as a Christian I pray because (to me weather events are unsettling) and to think that the world is coming to an end is overwhelming.

The 2012 world-coming-to-an end is a bunch of hype based on a minority interpretation of a single Mayan Calendar.  Nothing to it.

good lord, every generation has had dire warnings of the earth ending for thousands of yers now and we're still here
and hey, when it comes, aint nothing we can do to prevent it so life life everyday to its fullest because theres never any guarantees
