A special day for a young friend of mine.

Hi Gang:
    Today is a special day for "Suzy."  Suzy is the daughter of a friend of mine, and she just turned "18" yesterday.

What is the first thing she wants to do with her new found "adulthood?" 
Go to the casino, of course. 

Yes, today she will enter the casino, head up to the players club booth for her very own card.  (I will recieve an extra $10 for referring her.  haha)

Today several of us will take Suzy to the Land Casino for the first time.  Oh, to experience all that excitment again for the very first time. The sounds, the lights, even the smells of the casino.  All so new and exciting.

Will she be hooked as I was, or remain a casual gambler like many of us do.  The things I hope to teach her on her journey today.  Where to find the loosest machines. What games are hot right now, and even what a bonus round is.

Will she be hooked on slots, or maybe step up to the tables.  No one knows. lol

I am excited to be a part of this with her.  Of course I love the place, and know it like it is my second home. 

I have known Suzy since she was about 10 yrs old. Her Mother and I would often return from the casino and share our experiences. She would always smile and say "I can't wait till I am 18, so I can go."

Well Suzy, that day is here.  So happy to be a part of it.

Here it is 21 and a young friend of mine turned 21 that i knew since she was about 10.. first thing she wanted was to go to the casino and gambled.. not drink but gamble!! And yes i do have that feeling and question, will she turn gambleholic, hooked and crazed as i was.. as you say no one knows.. she'll be okay Pam and it's good she's going with you.

Ah - that first visit to the casino.  What a thrill.  The sound of the chips, the machines chucking out coins, the laughter, the smell of booze and cigars, wonderful smell of some top food being served, the excitement as the wheel spins on the roulette.....I remember it well.

I hope she has an awesome time....and you have a wonderful time too Pam. You're lucky to be sharing it with her.

Suzy had a great time at the casino yesterday. First off, she was amazed they gave out free soda to everyone.

Secondly, the first game she played she got a double bonus, and won $44 .

She wouldn't part with any of her money after that. HAHA  She was done..

I on the other hand won $276 in a bonus round off my free money but between beer and other slot games, only came home with $150. 

I was supposed to be teaching Suzy yesterday, but I think I could take a few lessons from her.

Kind of sounds like my younger sister at gambling.

I hope she doesn't get "Hooked" and from what you told us, she's not going in that direction. I also hope she loves and lives life more then many have. She does sound like a smart one, hope she stays that way always
