A strange coincidence

This happened yesterday.

I was outside having a ciggy (stopped smoking in the house because of the awful smell) and I saw 6 magpies flying together.  Seeing this got me thinking about the nursery rhyme and I really thought that 6 magpies was "make a wish".  So I made a wish.

Last night I met up with a friend to go dancing and I explained about the 6 magpies I had seen, told her my thoughts about the "wish" and she just looked at me with amazement.  I was driving at the time and I just kept looking at her briefly and looking back at the road saying "what"...."what".

She had walked her dog earlier and she also saw 6 magpies and she also thought 6 was for a wish.  She had exactly the same thoughts as me.  A very strange coincidence indeed.

Alas, it's not 6 for a wish, it's 6 for gold!

Here is the most commonly known rhyme

   One for sorrow
   Two for joy
   Three for a girl
   Four for a boy
   Five for silver
   Six for gold
   Seven for a secret, never to be told
   Eight for a wish
   Nine for a kiss
   Ten for a bird you must not miss

Looks like we should have seen 8 magpies.

    Keep looking Blueday, for the other two. Some days are diamonds, some days are gold. I would think it's still all good. Maybe they have smaller groups now for safety? Hope your wish comes true.  Yesterday I could have made a wish when after a tear or so I had mused over getting a ramekin unstuck from coffee cup. I had tried all ways to get it out. I tried again with a thin knife. I couldn't believe it came out and without stabbing myself. Different from your story but both are special.

Years ago a relative told me not to leave at that moment, but to wait 30 seconds, then go (to run an errand).  As I was passing by one the intersections there was a freak accident that just happened.  A semi looks like had toppled over a motorcycle as it was trying to turn on an inclined street.  The ambulance was racing to take the injured cyclist to the hospital.  I shudder to think what would have happened had I been there any sooner.

Oh wow...I think it was a faith more than a coincident,blue.
you know...sometimes we are often amazed by how much friends are alike and think like each other.
