    Hi Members,

    Last nite was the grand finale of American Idol. I was really rooting for Crystal to win! I love her voice and she is a great talent. But Lee won and got very emotional last night.

    I think that this is the ONLY tv show i ever really watch and am dedicated to. This was the last year for Simon Cowel and i don't know if it will be the same without him.

    Paula was cute as button when she showed up to honor Simon. I always wished they would hook up!!

    Did anyone get a chance to see it and are you happy with the winner?

    Lips I am also a loyal viewer of the show. I don't think it will be the same with Simon gone. I picked Lee as my favorite guy and Crystal as my favorite girl and they both made it to the finals. I thought Crystal would win,she really kicked a** Tuesday night but in Lee's defense he improved every week and really got better with each performance. I also think he deserved to win. I wasn't disappointed, I just wanted them both to be in the finale. I think Crystal is amazing and I love, love, love her voice, and I also love Lee's voice. So I am happy .They both will do well I think.

    I am an Idol fan too and have followed it since the beginning,and I also really wanted Crystal to win...1. She can sing her azz off...2. My middle name is Crystal...She is her own person!
    But I'm happy for Lee too, especially since he is a "Chicago guy" (actually Mount Prospect but you know how that goes), so I have to have some hometown loyalty too.Crystal should be fine,she is mega talented and I'm mad at the shows producers because they should have had Bonnie Raitt on the show to sing with her.But anywho who knows she may surpass Lee with her career.

    We all watched it at my house, too.  We loved both Crystal & Lee, so it didn't matter who won, but Lee's reaction tickled us.  My BFF & Mom both are in love with Lee - I was more a Casey junkie.  kiss

    What I also really, really liked was the format of the show last night.  The AI'ers starting out the song, then bringing out the original singer, was a stroke of genius this year & kept us interested right to the very end.  After the first couple of songs, I'd know who was coming out and that was a kick. cheesy

    It won't be the same without Simon, but I'm keeping an open mind about it.  And yes, Paula looked adorable last night!!

    I think a lot of women find him very sexy Lips and there are tons and tons of young nubile wenches that would give their right arm to be with him over here.

    He does a lot of charity work but he doesn't tell the world about it too much.  His Mother helps run the local RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) just along the road from where I live and Simon goes to the annual "bash" to help raise money for them so he gets my vote that's for sure.

    As for the finale.....I think Crystal should have won.  She was a far superior singer to Lee and Simon's face and the way he was clapping at the end spoke volumes.  He was not a happy man.
