    Dear LCB'ers,

    we are in the final stages of releasing the new LCB design. The ETA is early next week!

    This project took us more than year and half ( new responsive design, new functionalities, navigation etc ). Pretty much the whole site, including the forum, has been revamped.

    It took us longer than expected to finish this task, given the sheer size of LCB , it proved to be challenging but doable.

    So keep an eye on this topic as we will announce just before we switch to the new site. We are currently testing and fixing all the bugs and do expect some small ones to occur after the launch. But all in all we expect a smooth launch.

    We will create a dedicated topic where you will be able to report bugs and anything that seems "off".

    Yes it will be Responsive design for all devices, mobile/tablets/desktop smiley I am a web designer too, so i know about websites smiley

    It looks a little too cluttered to me. But I guess I will get used to it. I'm not liking it so much right now, I must say. It is hard to get to the sections that I normally visit. Could be because it's new and I get lost when visiting somewhere new, in virtual and real. I will keep trying to conquer and manuver for  a little while. I am up for a challenge at least for a few times.

    Me too.

    I can see what LCB are trying to do but its definitely a little bit user unfiendly when it comes to the GUI. Too much on 1 page. A little bit heavy on the eyes. The same as others have already said though, I will try and get used to the new layout. 

    It's probably just because its a huge change, not slight changes building into this change

    BTW. Perhaps a bug. My post was double posted then because I submitted it, got an error page, pressed back and then submitted again but had the same error. I went back to refresh the page and both posts were there... I will try it again and paste the error...

    Yep same again but when I pressed back and refreshed it had posted.... Error was:

    The lcb.org page isn’t working

    lcb.org is currently unable to handle this request.

    Well, for me it's like "downgrade" to be honest dizzy 

    The thing that I find most annoying is that I can like like 1 post and I have to scroll down to see another one, especially when this silly toolbar appears when I scroll up frown It's way too big. Posts use less than half of display width which is really bad.

     

    Like this, makes me mad angry tongue

    Also I was hoping for faster loading times but I guess it's even slower.. huh

     

    What I like are new smileys and new box to write posts. thumbs_up

     

    And yeah, as Marcus said - there's a bug.

    Many members said the same thing about the old design when it was new wink. You wanted the old site back. You'll get used to it because it really is an improvement in terms of navigation and features. The new LCB is also mobile friendly plus it's just so pretty. Remember this is beta so speed and correction of bugs are in the works as the team has explained throughout the forum. Thanks for you patience.
