Are You a Sore Loser?

Hiya Members,

I come from a family who is very competitive when it comes to games. We can sit down at a game and when someone loses the fur starts flying! There has been tables over turned, cards flying in the air and name calling!

But as fired up as we all get, i wouldn't want to play with any other kind of player. A passionate player is ten times more fun than a player who doesn't play heart and soul. In reality i think the term "sore loser' isn't fair! "Passionate player" sounds much better don't ya think......he he he!

What kind of player are you?

Very philosophical about losing.  "Ehhh, win some, lose some."

Hmm... not sure, good question though.  I don't think I am too passionate about it either way.  But then my family didn't play a lot of games...

Oh my goodness Lips, you know i play the games with the family, like.. say monopoly or life, umm.. spades.. games like that and i swear, i'd win every time.. they'd get so mad, i'd die laughing so hard.. i really tried not to laugh at them, but you can't hold it in at the complaints and how hard they try to beat me..lmao Sometimes i'd LET them win.. and they would get MAD again even winning, saying.. "you let me".. lmao lmao Lips...

Yes, I am.  The challenge (and the funny part IMO) is to behave like a loss doesn't mean anything 

I hate losing, which is why I don't like gambling with my own money since I don't have very much of that.  I usually won't make a statement even, if I'm not sure I'm correct.
When I was little I had a friend over and she and I and my brother and sister played a game of Spat (a card game I doubt anyone has heard of).  I had never won, but I won this game, and was soooo happy to have done so while my friend was there.  My brother hauled off and smacked me HARD across the face.  He's almost 10 years older than me so had to have been a teenager at the time.  He must be a sore loser.

I'm probably just a depressed loser, and a sore winner (LOL)

Well, I have to say I'm a gracious loser, and believe people should still practice that.  To me, there's nothing more reviling than a poor loser - sorry if that steps on some toes.

That's not to say I'm not a passionate & intense player; I've always tried to play people that are better than I am so that my own game improves.

i hate losing but if im playing a game against my son sometimes i make a move in chess that lets him win every once in a while to keep him from wanting me to play for days on end lol
