Hey guys,
Most of you might not have even heard of Big Blue Marble, it was a program in the 70's that hooked you up with a Pen Pal. Wayyyyyyyy before the internet, you actually could get a pen pal and write them letters. Well mine was Stephanie Jean Cashon (they must have hooked us up because we had the same initials and were the same age lol) She lived in Ohio and I was in Cali. We wrote each other from the time we were about 10 through high school. I guess it just got boring so we stopped writing.
This weekend as I was going though BOXES of stuff (I am getting ready to move) I came across her letters, there had to be well over 100 letters. So I decided to try and find her, you can find anyone these days on line. hehe
I found her on Facebook with an AKA, she had a different last name so I sent her an email saying, "Stephhhhhhhhhhhhh is this you, my long lost Pen Pal, if not sorry to waste your time. But I hope it is you."
I got ALL teary eyed when I saw that she had emailed me back and it was her. She is married and has been in Alaska for the last 20 yrs. She said she's been to Cali a few times, thinks of me and wonders if she would recognize me in the streets. I AM so glad I found her.
I just wanted to share that with you guys. Did anyone else have a pen pal??????

Hey Lipssy, It's so crazy, I hadn't really thought about her in a while. But when I saw ALL the letters. (some of them are over 30 yrs old,
) I really started thinking!! She actually lives in Alaska but she said she comes to Cali a few times a year I really hope we can meet.

This weekend, I got kinda sentimental too..I could not believe my old childhood friend just came back from Seattle for a visit. I haven't seen him in YEARS.
We were friends since we were born. Our families got together, and reminesed of all the crazy things we did when we were kids. When I saw him, I still see me calling him Bobby slobby, and beating him up
We going to have a cookout tomorrow, maybe I'll beat him up for old times sake
hehe
