Blue Chip Casino And The Nonsmoker From Hell!

Hi Guys,

Friday i went to Blue Chip Casino in Indiana. I was invited to spend the night with friends who had a free room. It's a smaller casino. Quaint and not overly crowded. The food is mediocre but the bar has live music and was a blast!

My luck Friday nite was pretty good. I drifted away from video poker and played "The Drifter" a 2 cent machine that gave me a bonus worth $300 bucks! Of course it didnt come home with it...i played til 4:30 am and was ready to roll at 9:00 again! All in all i lost a $100 bucks...not bad for a 2 day get away at my favorite play ground.

At one point things really went south. When i first arrived  i went straight to video poker. There is only one row of 5 cent machines. I was lucky enough to get the only seat open.

Sandwiched in between players on both side of me...i knew i had to use caution when i smoked. I patiently waited to see if either player on next to me lit up. It never happened. Then alas........a women sitting to my left got up and propped her chair. This was my chance to grab a quick smoke! I grabbed my ciggy out of my purse and lit up. Not more than a minute passed and she returned. This is what happened.....

She stops dead in her tracks...as if she just saw something sooo horrific she was in shock. I got a little nervoous...so i place my cigarette behind my chair to keep the smoke away from her as much as possible. Suddenly her hand waves violently back and fourth...for a moment i thought she was having a seizure! In some respects she really was.

I knew i was in bigg trouble now....and was just about to die it out when she turns to me and says "People like you make me sick and u r very ignorant" A little shocked with her comment i reply... i was just about to put it out, a simple request would have done the trick.

She goes on to say that she takes a bath before she comes to the casino and people like you make me have to go home an take another one...i remain quiet. But she is not done... Do you people ever bathe because why bother. Okay now i'm gettin a wee bit ANGRY! I tell her that she is very rude. She goes on to say that i am the one who is rude. Now this is what put me over the top.........I hope YOU keep smoking because i want u to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides the anger i felt, i wanted to cry. For a person to have that much hate and wish me dead really jolted me. Havin heard enough i turn to her and say.......and people like YOU may not deserve to live, but i wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. She calls me a Bit** and laughs and says not only do i hope you die but i hope u go to hell as well.

The man sitting on the other side of me hears all this...he gently pats me on the back and says to me i'm very sorry you have to endure this. I had an angel on one side an the devil on the other.

I got up and thats when i drifted to "The Drifter"...i guess that angel guided me to the right place!!!!!!!!!!

    I am sorry you had to go thru that about the non smoker situation. I have been in that exact situation, waiting to see if someone else was a smoker on etheir side of you. When it is busy, and your crammed in the middle of two other people it is impossible to light up without affecting the other people on each side of you.  I have never been talked to in the way you were but I do remember a time when a gentleman pulled out a pocket fan and pointed it directly at me and my smoke.  I laughed so hard and that annoyed him even more.  He eventually left.  I know I have a right to smoke at a casino, but I always try to be polite to the others around me. Sounds like you do too.             
        Glad you had a great time regardless of that.  I have played the "Drifter."

I like to consider Myself a gentleman and like you will take my cues from those around me when deciding to light up. On the other hand I have a sarcastic and intolerant reaction to poor manners such as this harridan displayed and My Gentlemanly demeanor would have quickly evaporated as i stared her in the eye and asked her what kind of Moron sits in the smoking section then gets offended when she is surrounded by smokers.

I have never played at Blue Chip but do play at Casino Altazar down in Evansville when the urge hits me.

OH HO LIPSSSS!! U ARE A BIGGER PERSON THAN ME.  CUS AS SOON AS SHE CALLED ME THE "B" WORD, SHE WOULDA BEEN PICKING HER TEETH UP OFF THE FLOOR!  GLAD U HAD FUN ANYWAY HUN!!!

she had no right to say that to you lips if she want to play at the smoking section, she has to learn to accept that there are smokers around.

Lips..the beginning of that story, you had me laughing till my eyes were watering, then I got so mad I wanted to go beat the lady up for you.  You know, since I quit smoking, I don't like it so much myself, but you go to these places..what the hell do you expect, right??  If she doesn't like it, she that much, she should be playing in the non-smoker room.  No one should be that hateful.  Sorry someone as nice as you had to experience that.

and PMM...I would have peed my pants laughing when the fan came out..tears were rolling down my cheeks when I was reading that one too..I can just see it.  I would have died.  I would have just kept blowing.

Some people just make ya more crazy than you already are, huh?!!

Nal: I tell you it hit you as funny as it did me about the fan. It was a good thing I was sitting down when he pulled it out because I laughed so hard I couldn't of possibly stood up without wetting myself.  I did continue to smoke, and I gave him a look like "are you for real?"  I just kept laughing, long after he was gone, and I still laugh about it to this day.
      I just remembered he pulled that fan out of his fanny pack.  HAHAHAHA
I also want to know what he would of done if a smoker would of sat on the other side of him as well? Did he have two fans? One for each hand?

I'm still laughing..my mother used to have one of those stupid things she used to pull out sometimes when she was going thru menopause, having a hot flash...just the looks of it cracks me up so bad its not even funny.

This was a heavy duty one...looks like it ran on 2 D batteries.  This guy came prepared.  Now I am laughing all over again.

LMAO!!!! OMG thats what I was thinking about the D batteries!!!  Like I always say, GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!!!!

I bet that guy had back up batteries in his fanny pack.
        Just incase he encountered a smoker, just like he did,  with me.  One after another while I am gambling.

you have LOTS more self control than i do. First, i would have said to her, you knew when you walked in the door that there would be people smoking... if you don't like it... don't come! Then after her next comment... i would have reached for my pack of smokes and light up 5 more smokes and blew them right in her face... telling her... "now  you need a bath for sure... too bad it won't clean the uglyness from within you" Then after her "wish you would die" comment... i would have made my smokes die.... one by one on her face as i put them out slowly!! Ok.... i wouldnt have done the last part... put i sure would have thought about it.
Just about every casino i have been in has a smoking section and a non smoking section, and being a smoker... i would have done all i could to get her as pissed at me as i could... like i said, i would have had 5 smokes going at the same time, and even asked her if she wanted one! It would have been a cold day in hell before i left that seat!

People just bother the hell out of me!    ROARRRRRR  lol ...thats the leo in me lips!  lol

Lips...seriously...you really got to learn how to manage things better...man...I'm so disappointed. i really expected more out of you. especially in a situation like that...

like do cigarettes just pop up out of now where? not sure about prices in the US but in Canada they are almost $10 a pack...next time you get yelled at for smoking make it worth your while and smoke the whole cigarette. You'd be surprise - her yelling at you like that would have made that cigarette taste a whole lot better. So remember this lesson for next time - it's not healthy to waste a cigarette - smoke the whole thing - who cares if someone is yelling at you..as long as that cigarette wasn't wasted. I know its easy to forget, especially in the heat of the moment, of what should be most important. But I tell you now and heed my words .yelling...that's just hot air...air it come out of the mouth...it cost nothing...but a cigarette...you bought that stick with your hard earn money. Don't let her nothing take away from your something! Smoke that damn thing and enjoy it.


LOL! ..my silliness once again had to find it's way here but I hope it lifted your spirit up, even if its just a little ..I never want to see you waste your tears on that...soooooooo not worth a precious drop.

Thanks for your inspirational words. Yes, i have to agree this time i buckled under the pressure. I can be a bit fiesty when put to the test...but this just threw me for a loop!

I have since pulled up my boot straps....straighened out my crooked skirt....touched up my lipstick and shook my hair loose from that ponytail! I'm back in the saddle and ready to wage war when ever attacked like that again....ohhh yeahhh!!!
