  • A grapefruit blue eyeball washed up on the shore of Florida when a man went for a walk along the beach and found it. It was a very fresh eyeball and was still bleeding when he stumbled upon it. It has become a mystery to Wild Life officials who are puzzled to what type of creature it belongs to.

Could it be the Loch Ness monster?

  • How weird to take a peaceful walk along the beach and spot a bloody eyeball. That's pretty creepy. How long ago was this lips?

  • That is creepy indeed. I'm quite curious to see what the scientists will find after analysing this.

  • Incredible! I can't wait for some updates about this. Bloody eyeball at the beach, I would faint. smiley

  • What an amazing and weird find!  I can't think what it could possibly belong to.  Perhaps a giant octopus?

  • It's definitely cool and I can't imagine a sea creature of any kind with blue eyes. Are there any?

  • Perhaps it's a whale's eye? I really don't know.

  • I've been interested in this story too, it's weird that it washed up on shore, intact. I just read this on grindtv.com:

"The mystery surrounding an enormous eyeball that was discovered on a Florida beach last Wednesday, prompting many wild theories and educated guesses as to what kind of creature it had belonged to, has been solved. Scientists who examined the colossal blue orb say it most likely came from a swordfish.

Genetic testing will be performed to confirm the identification."

    Makes sense to me!  smiley

  • Can't say I ever looked a swordfish in the eye. I would have never guessed. I'm looking forward to the results.

  • I wonder if the fisherman who cut the eye out of the swordfish will come forward and answer the question as to "why?".
