Bonus from a reached playthrough invalid

Has anyone experienced amounting bonus dollars after reaching a play through from a free chip, and then when going to redeem the bonus being told that due to a free chip being used the bonus will not be paid out? Being able to cashout after a playthrough is treated differently than being able to amass bonus dollars. Maybe when a person wins big too many bonus dollars can be clocked up.

I have not been clear enough in my post. I had my comps withdrawn from playing after the playthrough was reached.
