Busted...

Hi gang:
    Lets face it, we all have people in our lives who do not appreciate our love for gambling.  Sometimes they forbid us to gamble.  Sometimes they just look down at us.  Husband, Wife, Mother, father, neighbor etc...      Have you ever snuck to the casino while alone but were fearful someone would catch you there and tell on you? "Hey Pam... Saw you at the casino the other day!!" Yikes.
        Or no one knows your there but you get the dreaded cell phone call and you need to answer it, but can't answer cause you know they will hear the casino in the back ground?    How will you explain it to Mom all the noise she hears in the background is just traffic, and the bells she hears ringing is the school yard. 
    I remember when the hoppers still were used and you inserted coins. I had to scrub my fingers really good other wise everyone knew where I had been from the coin grime on my hands.  Those were the days.
    I no longer go in fear like I used to. I gamble, so what. There are so many worse things I could do.
      Have any stories of being BUSTED?

There is a dead giveaway when i'm at the casino...i have no signal. When someone tries to call and it goes str8 into my vm...everybody knows where i'm at!

I was a dead giveaway because I would leave the house real fast...try not to talk to anyone, then not show up for 3-7 days.  I was always happy until I pulled into the driveway! 

Lips and Nal?? That is exactly what I am talking about. A dead giveaway...LOL..There are just ways of always busting us gamblers when we are off trying to have a good time. 
      How about when you show up at home, tell everyone you were out shopping, but come home with nothing to show for it.  I don't recommend this line...It never worked for me...Duh...

I never could lie..so I didn't even bother.  I don't have a poker face...too honest for my own good I guess.  Ya, I've been out shopping out for a week..it was a bit crowded  hehehe!!!  If you can't take the fire...stay out of the kitchen

The ole "i went shopping trick"! I thought i was the only one who did that. I once took it a step further....after being gone alot longer than intended..i got nervous with no bags after a 5 hours of "shopping".

I pulled in the garage and scrambled for a couple bags and filled them with garage goodies...oh and another good one....when u get free gifts at the casino...i use that as shopping items!!

Then i walk in and say.........."Honey i'm homeeeeeee" So many times i feel like i am in a I love Lucy sketch!

I used to live out side a small louisiana town that had two riverboat casinos and an indian casino between work and home. If i was so much as an hour late on Payday my Wench would ask "How much did you lose" the second I walked in the door... I Know huh... ever the optimist.

One day I came walking in about 7 hours late... She hit her question.... I told her let me check and dumped 11,000 on the table in front of her... then my uncased paycheck. I had walked in with 40 dollars, hit 400 playing video poker, sat dow at a let it ride game with a 10 minimum. first hand dealt a pair of aces and a three... dealer had an ace and a three... I played 4 more hands till I had a losing hand, including one straight... I was going to be good and take the money and run... afterall I was up 1700 from 40...

But right by the door was a set of 5 dollar slots I had never had the nerve to play. I pulled out a crispy 50 dollar bill... Double diamond machine...

first spin betting three was a cherry.

second spin I was staring at a double, double, red 7, bells were ringing, people rushing over... 10,000 dollars...

From then on she asked "what did you win?"

That is a fairytale story...i love it! I had a similar experience, except i was at the race track with my dad. I had a date with him every Wednesday to go.

I played a trifecta for 2 bucks. I really did not like any horses in the race so i decided to play numbers. I played my baby boxer's b'day......and i won!!! Turns out on a $2 bet i collected $2,300.00. I was really whistlin dixie!

I took the 2300 one hundred dollar bills and stashed them in my knee hi boots! When i got home i was not even asked if i won or lost...it was an automatic presumed loss.

I sat down and took off my boot and all the bills came tumbling out! His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree! I tossed it in his lap and paraded around the room like i was hot stuff!

That very weekend he goes to the race track to try his luck...He comes home and i say "i bet ya didnt have the luck i did" and giggle. He sits down and pulls off his boot and out tumbles...$1700.00!!

It was a week to remember. I have one more money than that at casinos but i cherish that story because it was a double win and surprise for both of us!!
